Kayak, I finally made it here! Not going to lie and say I read each and every post, but I've scanned each page. As to Elizabeth, I so hope this could be the beginning of the end and she will be returned home soon. I think we are missing a big piece of information as her family seems so positive she is still alive. Maybe that's their faith, but I like to think they have some basis in fact for their hope.

The woman (some MIGHT call her their mother)....who left those 2 little kids (6 mo old & 3 yr.old) ...in a HOT car for 3 hours....while she gets her hair done!!!

Why can't I get drunk & run over someone....and just say, hey, I didn't mean to kill them....I didn't set out to kill them.

..or why can't I put my baby on the railing of a 3 story balcony, and when she falls, I say.......'Hey, I didn't mean for her to fall".....so I didn't mean to kill her."

I think reality is starting to hit the Smarts. The police don't have much of anything in this case, and there have been no breaks in finding Elizabeth. I think publicizing the letter today was an act of desperation on Ed Smart's part. I'm praying for Elizabeth and for the family. Lois Smart wasn't at the press conference today...

Sadly that sort of thing is happening more and more these days, Guennie. Last year in the Charlotte area a doctor left his infant in the car all day while he went to work ..... he didn't usually take the child to day care and forgot to drop her off ..... A doctor, for crying out loud!!!

He was really torn up about it .... I think spent a little time in psychiatric care ..... but the DA decided that he didn't mean to ...... so they didn't charge him with ANYTHING!!!

The media and the kumbayah crowd were bent all out of shape about Johnny Jihad being kept in a large metal container in Afghanistan until he could be transported ...... and he was in no danger ..... and yet idiots are leaving their precious children in cars to die horrible deaths and no one seems to care ....... except us ..... Mr. ML has a "thing" for Jackie (Bobby Flay's assistant.) When she was gone from the show for a while he was heartbroken.

It's our anniversary, so we are heading over to Titletown Brewery for a bowl of cheddar/ale soup, some good beer bread, and a pint or two of Johnny "Blood" McNally (a former Packer, back in the 30's) Ale. Possibly topped off by some turtle cheesecake.:)
