"...but if you do, come sit by me."

I watched Steel Magnolias again for the umpteenth time a week ago. I laughed as hard as ever. And cried at the appropriate times. I love "Louisa." H*ll, I am Louisa.

One night a guy takes his girlfriend home. As they are about to kiss
each other goodnight at the front door, the guy starts feeling a little
horny. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall
and smiling, he says to her, "Honey, would you give me a

lewinski?"
Horrified, she replies, "Are you mad? My parents will see us!"
"Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?" he asks grinning at her.
"No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught?"
"Oh come on! There's nobody around, they're all sleeping!"
"No way. It's just too risky!"
"Oh please, please, I love you so much?!?"
"No, no, and no. I love you too, but I just can't!"
"Oh yes you can. Please?"
"No, no. I just can't"
"I'm begging you ... "
Out of the blue, the light on the stairs goes on, and the girl's sister
shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled, and in a sleepy voice she says,
"Dad says to go ahead and give him a blow job, or I can do it. Or if need
be, Mom says she can come down herself and do it.

But for God's sake tell him to take his hand off the intercom!"

Drew,

See "Memento." It's intense. It's confusing. It's...let me know what you think. I'm still having discussions with myself about it.

I think these people already have every STD in the book and some not yet committed to the literature, so where's the fear?

Just give 'em a couple of years when they have every venereal cancer known to man, beast and woman, and then we'll all be berated for not giving enough money to their favorite charitable perversion fix. Just wait.

One of my favorite lines from Steel Magnolias is from Truvvy (Dolly Parton), when talking about how Anelle's boyfriend is dealing with her new found religion, "Sammy is so confused he doesn't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt."

Thank you daisyscarlett!

Mr. Betty came home at noon and then wisked me and our son off to go jet skiing. There was no talking him out of it. We had 5 whole hours in a row of sunshine!

I really appreciate your help and I shall always be in your debt.

Wow, you've got a great memory. DH will let me know more once he gets back home tomorrow. I think for right now, it's on hold, but I should find out for sure, once he gets back in town. I'll let you know. =)

6 mos from now there will be trouble in paradise. I know the type--they just live for "the chase" and once that is over, it's on to other conquests.

BTW, I can't even fathom the thought of 1,000 sex partners. And she married this guy? That reminds me of that basketball player's claim that he slept with 10,000 women. That's like one every few minutes. And that was before Viagra. =) Gross. Ick. Shudder.

I have been re-viewing the Private Life of Plants video series and it's better than any movie I've seen in years.

What, the guy's in his 30's? early 40's? And he claims he's had a 1000 sexual partners? I'd be worried that he's past is prime. Probably refractory to Viagra. Hahaha - that would be way too fitting.

Imagine how "active" he'd have been if he wasn't married (big chuckle). Does Julia really believe she can keep this Tom cat at home? Who willingly invites that kind of grief into their life?

Velly interesting, that site! ;-) Hey look! Madonna actually looks like a mom. She must have run out of personas.

I saw Memento and I did not catch on to it till it was almost half over. Same with that Travolta comeback film a few years ago-did not have a clue that the scenes were all mixed up. I am just an old fashioned gal that likes a beginning, middle and end. Although I do like quirky endings. I.E. Just love Mamet (not sure of spelling) films, his last one being the Heist. He writes and directs all his movies so there is usually a 2 or 3 year gap in between.

No one held a gun to my head but I have never walked out of a movie. I keep hoping it will get better....I guess Letterman did walk out of YaYa in the first 10 minutes....He made a quip about it on his show....
