AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 535) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 9, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 07/09/2002 4:16:10 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

At the NAA(L)CP conference, the Rev. Jesse Jackson labeled President Bush and AG Ashcroft as the "most threatening combination in our lifetime."

A Congressional panel has subpoenaed the records of Martha Stewart's broker.

And the President is pushing his plan of tough new penalties on corporation leaders who undertake corporate fraud.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

the greatest university in the south is located, AUBURN University.

I would have said in America, but felt that would have been too bragadocious.

we shouldn't be consuming honey because the product was generated by enslaved bees.

Sheesh! That's worse than telling college students they should drink beer instead of milk because it hurts the cows (I'm pretty sure that not milking them hurts them more!), or even having Mary Tyler Moore go to Maine and tell them to stop catching and eating lobsters!

Bees???

Yes ... I thought so, Jemian ... and I know of their program! It is certainly worth a call.

By phone, of course. Screamin' out the window probably won't work. HA!

I've been wanting to tell you how fun it is to have you here more, dear friend.

And. I just did.

I'd like to see them just try to stop the bees from producing honey.

Of course, we could wait and just take the older, fermented left-over honey.

Mead is good.

I have been told that I could scream loud enough.

I bet I know some of the folks on staff there. I'm sure Dad does.

My parents have been among the blessed people here. It is very painful to see things deteriorating due to lack of care.

Good Mornin' Everyone. Oh, it's a beautiful, sunny morning in central Texas, a bit humid, but beautiful.

I won't be here until late this afternoon or evening, so y'all have a great day.

How do I begin?

First a belated Happy Anniversary to you, Guennie! July 3 is a wonderful day for an anniversary, isn’t it? Next,thank-you, so much for your birthday greetings. They are so very much appreciated and I love each of you for remembering!

My apologies for not responding to you before today. I wasn’t on the thread much since the second of July and was really trying to “catch-up” by reading the daily thread starting with the posts from the latest date and working backwards! So that’s why I didn’t respond sooner to your birthday greetings. Mr HOB had a birthday party for me in Maryland – no, we didn’t see any Franken fish! But he did give me a new puppy for my birthday. I get to pick her up the end of the month. Thanks Molly for pinging me to them.

It’s been interesting reading the thread from the third, I must say. I am so sorry not to have been a part of it. All of you who participated in the church music discussion made so much sense when writing your thoughts on classical vs contemporary music in church.

I am a Lutheran and I am very disturbed when the music selected to sing is very modern. Remember when I posted so much angst about the interim pastor who never spoke one good word about America and Americans the Sunday after 9/11? The songs we sang that day were songs re-written by “friends” of his. They, of course, said nothing about loving God, man and country! I literally walked out of church that day crying. TO add insult ot injury, this pastors name is Pastor Christian!

Janey, thank-you for the Pooh graphic, he is very special to me.

Jemian, what is a chicken eighth? Or is that a question for /John?

Citizen, I had a question written for you but I can’t read my writing!

Chair, Culpepper is a nice place! I’ve thought of moving there myself!

Kay, I am so sorry to hear of your neighbor. Prayers to the family. Does it seem to you that we are seeing more and more of this? Young people in their 40’s dropping dead of heart attacks? It reminds me of my brother….

OhioWFan, ISB, Lorena Dog, Purdue Pete, Nita, and all Thank-you for remembering and sending greetings!

boat planter

HA! I drove by it just the other day. It looks great ... and I am glad we fixed the rather glaring design flaw early on ... that being constant water on the bottom of a wooden structure can be ... problematical ...

Bees have feelings too,

We have some here that will chase and sting our dogs. Wonder how they feel after Hubby runs around clobbering them with a badminton racket. Hubby's serve has improved tremendously.

Sweetie, I love being here. I just wish you lived closer to Alabama.

Anyway, I gotta go for a bit. Errands today include opening a bank account for LD. At least she realizes a sock under the mattress just will not do. Then, I need to find a cheaper priced set of hearing aids. Afterward a few lessions removed from my eyelids.

Later, gater.

Chicken eighths are a way of cutting up a chicken for service. You wind up with 8 pieces per chicken. It makes for a smaller serving than chicken quarters.
