Yes. I'm on a lake that straddles the Indiana/Michigan border. We just got back from watching the 5th of July fireworks (its a small lake association, and they get a better price for a fireworks show on the 5th!). Our boat was about 50 yards from the barge setting of the display and it was amazing!
