Funkle buster! DARN you all to HECK!!!

We got nailed by an uninsured driver yesterday, no injuries, but looks expensive...

Now that I've got the funkle out of the way...

We went to the beach yesterday and on the way back a kid pulled out of a gas station driveway and nailed the right rear corner of my car. (I wasn't quite able to swervant enough to avoid him entirely). Mashed the fender in at the bumper line, tore half the bumper off, most of the damage is under the bumper. Looks expensive. Had I not swerved he would have hit both doors, I think my swerve avoided injuring Barb and Katie. Never did hit the brakes, that would have made it MUCH worse.

So, it turns out the kid (looked like one of my former roommates) didn't own the car, it was his friend's parent's car, he didn't have insurance, a valid license, or much of anything. On top of that his name is Chad. (Barb said he would surely hang for this)...

Said he would sooooo have to move to Mexico...

Took all the info, photos, tied the bumper to the fender and came home.

Just another day in paradise...

Tough luck nully. Wouldn't the friend's parents' insurance cover damages? It seems to me that they and thus their insurance company would be liable.

After the stupid stunt he did last night .. not only did he finish framing it .. he stained too and now it out getting the screen door and a few other things

He might just get this thing done after all

Oh, Nully, thank heavens you and your passangers are all ok. I got hit some years ago in a similar situation. It took some doing but they other guy ended up paying for the damage to my brand new Toyota!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr.....lock the kid up in his room until he is 105 years old..

MO great news about the project coming to completion....gotta keep those hubbys in line, right girls? ( boys that was not for your ears LOL)

Val..more neat pictures. You need to hold a seminar and we will all come down for the demonstrations. MO...you have to wait cuz you are already close behind her in skill and the rest of us are beginngers...Hay..Maybe Mo could hold a course too :)
