I took my sweet darling Minnie to the Vet this morning...and said my last goodbye and I love you to her at 10 am....I could tell she was tired and was ready...my son went with me so that was a huge help...when I got home, my poor Mom remarked that she will really be alone now during the days....but, she agreed that the time had come for my baby..and it wasn't fair to let her suffer anymore. Minnie did give us the best years of her life.

when Clio went to Heaven, God showed me Clio's new life in Heaven
finally her dreams came true
she got to chase the bunnies thru endless beautiful washes
and then the bunnies turned around and chased her
she loved to be chased
and when she was tired, she could think herself back home
no long endless trudge to return
it helped me realizing Clio had more wonderful life there than I could give her here

Thank you, you two..of course I am sobbing my eyes out because she was my sit at my feet at the computer buddy...we were inseparable once I got home from work...but I know she is feeling much much better now.

You go have a good cry...our beloved pets deserve no less :-)I hope you pull out the photo albums too and all share your stories about Minnie and think back on how much your life was enriched by her presence.

Ya know David...usually when we would go to the vet..she'd get all nervous and jumpy and cry...but this morning...it was as if she wanted to be there..she just sat on Carlos' lap in the car and when we got inside she just put her paws around my neck and her head on my shoulder...as if she knew...as if she was ready...so that part made me feel better.

When they weighed her and saw she had lost 15 pounds since the end of march...we all knew.

I think they did have a public pool in Yuma but there were lots of pools with apt complexes and condos and private homes too.

I would go to Mexico sometimes. BUT I NEVER took my car across the boarder. Most people do not because if you get into any kind of mishap..it is not good. The word was if you take your car to Mexico and get in an accident..get out of the car, take you things out and get back across the boarder and chalk up the car! Go to jail there and it could be a looooooonnnnnnnnngggggggg time before you get out. The federalis are not easy to deal with. Lots of folks went to Rocky Point. We never did.

Yes, I am a true desert rat. But the hubby is a native Californian. He got so he could not take the heat anymore and wanted to move. So we did. I miss ARizona, but our area here is wonderful. I just hate California politics!

The Golfing Nun

A nun is sitting with her Mother Superior chatting. "I used
some horrible language this week and feel absolutely terrible
about it."

"When did you use this awful language?" asks the elder.

"Well, I was golfing and hit an incredible drive that looked like
it was going to go over 280 yards, but it struck a phone line that
is hanging over the fairway and fell straight down to the ground
after going only about 100 yards."

"Is that when you swore?"

"No, Mother," says the nun. "After that, a squirrel ran out of the
bushes and grabbed my ball in its mouth and began to run away."

"Is THAT when you swore?" asks the Mother Superior again.

"Well, no." says the nun. "You see, as the squirrel was running, an
eagle came down out of the sky, grabbed the squirrel in his talons
and began to fly away!"

"Is THAT when you swore?" asks the amazed elder nun.

"No, not yet. As the eagle carried the squirrel away in its claws, it
flew near the green and the squirrel dropped my ball."

"Did you swear THEN?" asked Mother Superior, becoming impatient.

"No, because the ball fell on a big rock, bounced over the sand trap,
rolled onto the green, and stopped about six inches from the hole."

The two nuns were silent for a moment.

Then Mother Superior sighed and asked,
"You missed the f*cking putt didn't you?"
