I like that pic of the Mission
if you have more I'd love to see them
was that the pic which made Mexico feel real to me
it has friendly atmosphere

There are ranges of mountains running the lenght of the penisula..Not all that high, but they do get snow in northeren Baja...They tried to build the highway along the level parts....That pic of droppimg down to the Cortez is the one grade that amounts to much...There is another up in northern Baja not far from the border that is longer and steeper on Mex 2 called the Cantu Grade....

I didn't realize there were mountains in Baja
but I do remember now
that after the long trip in car to get there
suddenly there was steep drop
you said ''now we're getting close''

the prison is in the hilly part
I'm learning Baja lol
rocky hill with palm trees below
sure I'd love to see those pics
after the flatness of Tucson, I like seeing more dimension
I wonder if I liked Tucson so much because of so many years in lower Manhattan, always hemmed in by buildings
but it's been 11 years now
I find the hills in Baja refreshing to the eye

yes andysmom it is first time I've been cool since cooler broke
I cannot believe how luxurious it is
lol it caused us to find all the fans in closet tho
they are now set up
I am in heaven having both cooler and fans

cause I am familiar with desert landscape and feel at home in it
so it is comfortable for me to learn Mexico this way

Mulege is in a small valley leading to the sea. It has springs and a small stream that irrigates the date palms, a little desert oasis. San Ignacio farther north is another oasis, but it is not on the coast.....

Well, time for me to go...my little Dizzy is calling me, for treattime, and cuddle time...and I need to go to bed fairly early, so I can get up early and post early....

Once the hubby is up tomorrow, we are going to work on clearing out the back bedroom, and sifting through all of the stuff back there...a yucky chore, but nonetheless, we will tackle it....so will be busy all afternoon and into the evening, working away...

fifteen minutes after cooler technician left
it went on blink again
but luckily Bill went up and oiled it and tightened fan belt?
and got it to work again
it was rough for cooler technician working all that time on hot roof
plus he had to go to store to buy new motor

Well, I sure hope it keeps on working fine and keeps all of you cool....poor Happy with his long hair, and poor Lulu crying because of the heat...yes, our furry friends can be just as miseable as we are, when its so hot...bless their little hearts...
