It is the large white building in center of pic..They use to unlock the doors in the morning and let the prisoners go into town to find work...At nightfall they better be back to be locked up again.......

This is the exact proper position for a basset...lounging on the couch...and just like my Helga, that one basset has to rest its head on the armrest...Helga was like that...she could not just sleep on the couch...,she had to have her head propped up...I dont expect thats really true of all bassets, but this pic so reminds me of my Helga, with that pose

Man, it got warm here today...Its 84 right now...too hot..anything above 75 or so, makes me unhappy...I would just die in Palos area...time for me to put on the ceiling fan..

Tomorrow, once the hubby wakes up, we are going to commence clearing out our back bedroom, which has really gotten cluttered, because we just store stuff back there...It used to be my moms bedroom, when she lived with us, before she died...we did not need to use it as a bedroom, so we wound up just storing stuff there...At one time, it was really full, as my son stored all his stuff in there, when he took his trip around the world...he still has some computers, and spare monitors, and a big handmade table, and lots of his stuff in there...It seems we sure have accumulated a lot of stuff throughout the years...

But being such a pack rat, I hardly think we will be getting rid of much ...just need to consolidate a little better...Yuck....I hate having to do that...

If Palo returns later, and the thread gets slow, I will begin my memoirs of my Uncle Oscar, who was one of the more looney characters in my family of odd relatives...

Most families have regualr folk, with a few odd relatives here and there...my family is somewhat the opposite...we hve lots and lots of weirdos, with a few normal folks thrown in...I am still trying to figure out, if I am weird or normal...

I would gladly volunteer to go into town...Palo and I could become barmaids and serve cold beer...

Could we shop while we were outside of jail...Palo needs her jewelry and pocketbook fix, and I need my doll fix...

Do we get to keep the money we earn, or do we have to hand it over to the jailors for our food?
