Just wondering if any freepers have ever noodled before. Is there a strategy to being a good noodler, or is it mainly just luck?

Isn't that what they do to geese?

Some of my friends have, and their relatives too. Fearlessness is one strategy; plus you're not allowed to wear gloves.

Well, this got moved to chat. Now we'll never know the true number of FR noodlers.

I guess you've never gone noodling.
To: Sir Gawain
Luck? Sorry, SG, but in my mind sticking your arms up to your shoulders (or your whole body with a "friend" holding your ankles to pull you out) blindly into dark, root-overhanging banks/caverns, grabbing the first thing that feels slimy and alive and yanking it out takes no strategy or thought (the less the better) but some stupidity. And just who was the first person that thought noodling might be a good idea?
Nothing personal. Have fun!

I never said I was a noodler.
To: Xenalyte
That's why I asked. ;-)
To: Sir Gawain
Well, it wouldn't have invalidated your opinion on other more important issues even if you were. Now, if you were into noodling AND rattlesnake hunting AND bare-handed pig wrestling....
(You're not, are you?)
To: foolish-one
Not yet.

Stumpy told me he adjusted pretty quickly after his noodling excersion, but riding a bicycle is kind of awkward anymore.

I'm too busy wrestling grizzlies to play with rattlesnakes.

Well, there are a couple weekends in college that I can't remember... I might have!
To: Sungirl
I'm going to take up hunting.
I will hunt kittens.
My weapon-of-choice will be the Laz9000 Noogienator.

Noodling requires skill, fearless resolve, and not a little dexterity. Also, good judgment in communications is advisable. It requires accurate application of rules to resolve conundrums, initiative, and ruthlessness.
A wet suit is also useful.

LOL! GO ahead and make my day LAZ!! I have been waiting for this day to come with your threats of using your "Laz9000 Noogienator". You see...I have been developing a weapon that can destroy any noogie trap and any or all of your noogie_eliminators for many many months now. I am more than ready my evil little friend.
I have developed my Anti_Laz_Satellite (and I paid the Russians dearly for launching this baby for me) that can find and track any Laz_noogie (ESPECIALLY the Laz9000 model) ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!!
I am proud of this little tracker.

I also developed about a million of these Anti_Laz_Noogie_Eliminator 1000 destroyers that are in underground bunkers in every city... town and village all over the world. Once my Anti_Laz_Satellite locates an active Laz_Noogienator...it transmits the "OK" to one of my Laz_noogie_detroyers and it will find it within seconds and disingrate it without a trace.
This thing cooks (literally):

So go ahead....I have been waiting for this opportunity to destroy your evil machines and to help save all the kittens in the world from you.
