Well that is a vague description of haggis. The mixture is put into the sheep stomach to cook not unlike a sausage link sort of thing. Nowadays it is often prepared in another sort of shield which is not sheep stomach. Here is what it really is to do a proper Haggis:
stomach of a sheep is turned inside out and thourghly cleaned and scrubbed before being stuffed. The stuffing consists of the cooked, minced heart, lungs and liver of the sheep, seasoned and mixed with grated onion, This then is mixed with oatmeal and shredded beef suet. Halffill the sheep stocmach as the mixture will swell during cooking. When served it is combines with neeps and tatties ( turnips and potatoes). You drink whisky with it.

To: Mo1

Now, I really do have to get the kids off to bed. They have to be up early for school tomorrow.

Too late. By the way, all this romantic talk about sheep stomachs and scrapple is making me hungry. I am gone for pasta.
