I have to go through the waiting period when I get home on the 4th of July before I can pick it up and head for the range...my friend that owns the gun shop at home tells me things would go much faster if I had a couple of felonies on my record...he says mere wife beating doesn't help speed up the process at all.

The FReepathon sure took a sudden leap.Today it went the oposite of my retirement portfolio...at this rate I'll be one of those WallMart greeters.
To: ValerieUSA
I may never enjoy the serene retirement bliss that Swervie has earned if the market doesn't climb back out of the turlet.
To: ValerieUSA
I noticed earlier that you managed to get into "it" by venturing away from familiar turf.

Hey, Cheri....were you doing your skydiving out of No-Cal? My brother loved jumping--he was with the 101st Airborne.
He was going to join up with some group after he got out of the service that travels around the country putting on exhibits, like at fairs and airshows and such; but the problems with the wife didn't ease up after he got out, and he figured to keep his feet on the ground and support his kids and try to make the marriage last for them.
Alas, it didn't. Every once in a while when we're talking or with a group that's talking, and parachuting is brought up, you can see either a longing or a memory in his eyes...he got out of the military in '61.
His first son was born shortly after he got his rating....he got emergency leave, of course, to come home for his birth....brought a baby's 't' shirt with him that had the picture of a parachute with parachuter and said, "My Daddy's a Paratrooper". On the reverse side, it said 101st Airborne, Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
When I visited my Mom in April, we were going through photo albums and came across the picture of Ray in his uniform holding his son where it could be read.

California, right? It's good you're getting it now, rather than after the first of the year. Then you have to attend a class, take a test pay your money and get a "safety certificate". It's good for five years. What i want to know is: If you're stinkin' certificate (aka license) expires, do the JBT's come and confiscate your guns? In Illinois, if your FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification Card) expires, they do exactly that.

Maybe Playgirl can find an opening for you.LOL! I'm having images of Burt Reynolds...in his prime. Not so sure the viewing public would be up to me in that position.
To: ValerieUSA
Didn't it though ? I'll be glad when it is finished. Just couldn't get excited about cheerleading this time. LOL

Yeah, Horsie, I have a radar. I can detect hypersensitive crybabies on the other threads and get them riled up in record time. You should have seen the "love" sent my way when I didn't break down into sentimental tears at a sappy contrived poem a few months ago.
To: Cuttnhorse
What, no nekkid dressage pics?
To: Rowdee
Hey, Rowdee. I did some skydiving in Idaho, at an itty bitty air strip outside of Star in the Boise Valley. They I was in Utah, jumped at a couple of different place. I did most of my skydiving in NoCal, central valley at Madera. Jumped a few times at Skydance near Davis, and a place at Lodi, and travelled around to some other places, like Eloy, Arizona. I miss it a lot, but just can't do it any more. Now I shoot!
