No, most of the flooding has occurred to the south, especially in Santiago. We have had a lot of rain and lots of street flooding but nothing serious. We are north of Santiago about 350 miles, right in the transition zone of the Atacama desert. The hills here look more like Arizona than coastal Oregon.

I'm still smarting from you calling me a geezer the other day...but then, I did do a bit of day dreaming about the old days when I used to shoot pack ratts in the Nevada desert.

I get dinged off at GW too; however, he is the best we have at this time. I think what is going to be interesting is when (IF) the Pubs win back the Senate and pick up more seats in the House. My hope is that if and when this happens, we might actually see a truly conservative agenda emerge from the Bush Whitehouse.
