I never have understood my instantaneous dislike of them. It was almost like I had looked at something genuinly evil and knew immediately that I needed to be protected from it. It was unsettling.

I just got an email from one of my sisters. Her son was one of 8 boys from his hometown chosen to go to Boy's State. Apparently 625 boys attended statewide. Y'all all probably know all about Boys State so I won't go into the details about how they learn how to set up a state government and participants run for various offices. Anyhow, he was there this past week and was elected to the Court of Appeals as a judge. He is not only smart, sweet and a good athlete too but he is just darling looking.

Ok. That's all.... I'm gone - again. :)

Some grunts in the Dept. of Agriculture, or the USGS or the Weather Bureau, who knows? I am sure it never went near the whitehouse, just a routine piece of beaurocratic bumph that an alert cabinet officer should have killed.

That story is going to be used to try and divide Bushes' Conservative base. There ARE parts of it that say we shouldn't do anything about warming, and that it is inevitable, and cannot be avoided anyway.

Those parts were conveniently ignored, however, and I am shocked, shocked that something like that could happen in the fair and balanced world of Big Media.

They will eventually get enough Fudruckers built out here in the hinterland. For Outback Steakhouses, I have no hope. KNowing what real Australian food tastes like (worse than English) (boiled mutton) I have never been in one.

The Fuddruckers here in Waco isn't that busy. The Outback is though. Prime rib at Outback melts in your mouth.
