Yeah, it's not like the Saints are a great team but when you see a referee call a pass incomplete after the guy ran 8 yards with it you kinda get suspicious.

This and the fact that most NBA teams look like gangs is why I care very little about the NBA any more.

I'm not a fan of either team, but I'm not much of a fan of the game of NBA Basketball either after that little exhibition. That was probably the worst officiating I have ever seen in professional sports! They should have just called the game with about 5 minutes to go and said "That's it! Lakers win!" And they wonder why their ratings are sagging? Who wants to watch a game where you know there's nothing the other team can do without getting a foul called. They're obviously marketing a "I love L.A./I hate L.A." type of sport right now.

I think the NBA wanted a game 7 a lot, enough to cheat. But I don't think they want the lakers in the finals enough to cheat in game 7. I mean as long as game 7 is fair, then the integity of the game is sort of intact because each side has a chance to win in a 1 game series. The fact that the first 6 games were manipulated to get to game 7, well, the fans can overlook that.

Definitely down with the MLB. Hell, I say down with most pro sports and their crybabies and their shenanigans ratings ploys. Everyone knows the thug crew of Shaq and Kobe. It's amazing too if you listen to the commentators. You would think that no one else is on the team. And is it just me or why is EVERY SINGLE SHOT that Kobe makes is dubbed an impossible or amazing shot by the commentators. I wish Jordan was here in his prime with the old Bulls to show these punks how bad they really are. I don't like Jordan either, but he did EARN his respect and I give it to him.

With $234,000,000 in ad revenue riding on each game, the NBA claims it was all a fair fight, and denies their matches are rigged or choreographed!
Mike Bibby and Kobe Bryant shaking afterwards

My sentiments exactly. Magic, Michael, and Larry. The retirement of these three ended an era which will likely never be seen again.

THE REFS TAKE GAMES AWAY. I was so sick of it watching thr refs AWARD Sacramento game 5 in the end that I was too disgusted to watch tonight. That is not good for their ad revenue. So if the refs swung the other way tonight, they were maybe making up for game 5 which was a theft that benefited Sacramento.

I can't believe the crying by all you Non-Laker fans..wah wah wah Shaq to the foul line ONCE last game...missed all your complaining about that.
What crap, Shaq and Kobe had four fouls early in the last game, then miraculously they stop fouling and Shaq makes it almost all the way through the fourth. I tried to bet my brother that the refs wouldn't call any more on Shaq, but he's not that stupid. It's been rigged the last three years, makes it disturbing to watch. And they hang on bibby like coathangers and nothing. But, the Kings were in it to the end, so maybe with a home court crowd for 7 the refs will be killed if they pull this crap.
To: A CA Guy
This is truly about as bad as those WWF referees that always seem to be looking the other way when the "foreign object" is used by the bad guy... except in this case, the REF WAS LOOKING AS KOBE SMASHED BIBBY IN THE FACE!

Also, the defensive player (Bibby) needs to give the offensive player enough room to move.. That is totally incorrect. If the offensive player has jumped up or is in mid stride and on the move, then the defensive player must allow the finish of the move. If the offensive player is standing still as bryant was, then you can get as close as you want. Finally, this call was made before when bryant elbowed him in the face and christie was whistled in game 4. Further, bryant's elbowing in both cases was not accidental. I've played probably 8000 games of pick up basketball in the last 40 years and we basketball players, especially guards, have wonderful and exact body control. I remember one case where a girl was playing and I was shooting a jumper and she undercut my lower body. As I was coming down, my elbow was going to land on her head and while I could have moved it. I convieniently let it stay there and clunked her. No, the bryant elbows are no accident. His reaction times and body control are way too good for that.

The Kings are a fun team to watch. They are the better team. They pass, shoot, and defend well. I hope they are the team the refs reward with a win Sunday.Put the bong down....
To: xp38
At least the 7-0 demolition of the Colorado Avalanche by the Detroit Red Wings tonight was not in the hands of the refs. I wonder if the AV's are going to file a missing persons report on Patrick Roy? 7-0? Did Roy have an out of body expierience? Call Art Bell!!

"I can't believe the crying by all you Non-Laker fans..wah wah wah" Yeah, to think that we Non-Laker fans actually care, about things like rules and sportsmanship! Everyone knows that if you win dirty, anyone who complains is a wimp and a sore loser. Complaining about a fixed game, is just, well... childish, isn't it? Everyone knows that the series is fixed, or why would you bet on it, right?
To: hole_n_one
Are you going to say anything in this thread other than childish namecalling? If you have a point, argue it. Don't just tell others they are stupid, tell us all WHY we are stupid.

Kings fan here. They just weren't putting it in the bucket, freethrows, threes, etc. I was suprised to see it go over 100.
What bugs me most is how interviews with Oneal and Kolby included no mention of the King's ability to hang within a few points throughout the game (ahead or behind) of a two-time championship team. Unable to give credit to the Kings for putting on quite a game only added insult to the injury Bibbi suffered. For this ommission alone, Lakers=Losers in my book. Showed no class.
To: ambrose
And in game five they stepped on Shaq's foot and called the foul on Shaq, then Sacramento lost the ball and they awarded it back to Sacramento, then in the last shot of the game 5 Kobe was hit on the shot and fouled heavily without being called. There was a fourth one as well. The Lakers were ahead by several points in the end of game five when these 4 rotten calls gifted Sacramento (AWARDED A GIFT) of game 5 to them.
