You folks have been having some miserable weather.
I thought of you yesterday when I saw the news on the train wreck in the panhandle. After all those posts and photos yesterday about trains.
To: Cuttnhorse
We had a soggy morning yesterday, but a beautiful (hot) afternoon. It might clear up today, too, but just as I think a storm has left another one generates overhead... the third one is dying down now.

I always have to laugh at articles about the problems of the Gates and Turners and other feelthy rich people. I am especially moved by the articles about how miserable many wealthy people are. A person must be pretty shallow if he can't figure out how to enjoy life if money is absolutely no problem.

...but a beautiful (hot) afternoon.I would guess it must be pretty humid with all that rain.

OOOPS, the market opened in New York and gold dropped like a turd from a tall horse.
To: ValerieUSA
Got to check out...the gang has arrived at the office and everyone wants something. Worse than having a house full of kids.
Chau for now
To: Cuttnhorse
Maybe I can sneak in a funkle??
To: Cuttnhorse
Yeah, I remember all the magazine stories about the poor little rich girl, Christina Onassis. A person has to be totally immersed in SELF to be that miserable. I read a quote by Hannah Whittal Smith (I think) who said the secret to happiness is to be thankful. Makes sense.
To: Cuttnhorse
Yep...a Chilean funkle....always the very best!!
To: Cuttnhorse
NO FAIR!!!!

This guy shows up at the pearly gates with a suitcase.
St. Peter verifies his name is in the Book, and starts to let him in, then says, "No, no, just you, not the suitcase."
The guy says, "No, the suitcase comes with me."
St. Pete says, "You can't take it with you, everyboby knows that!"
The guy says, "I can, I've got special dispensation, check the Book again."
St. Peter looks again, and sure enough, it has his name, and one suitcase.
St. Peter turns to the guy and says, "That's amazing! I've been doing this job for, well forever, and I've never seen such a thing!, Come on in."
Then he hesitates again. "Ummm, do you mind if I see what's in the suitcase?"
The guy says no problem, and pops it open. It's filled with gold bars.
St. Peter looks and looks. Finally says "You must have gone through quite a lot to get permission to do this."
The guy says, "You have NO idea..." and starts to go into details.
St. Peter interupts "You did all that to get permission to bring in PAVING STONES?!?!"
To: null and void
Good One! *LOL*

Of course, if I were optimistic, I would remark that if you were here, and I was there, then I could check out some Chilean Babes. And THAT is definitely not a bad thing. (But I wouldn't be happy about becoming an old geezer, all of a sudden!)
