Hey Habs - thanks for the good link. Chops, shrimps, and all the trimming are just about completed.

However, I must confess to unspun salads, and wrinkled bills. ;-)

I think the best lies ahead
the mass awakening is heralded to be the most glorious experience ever to take place on our planet
and after that, the reversal of the Fall, sounds wonderful too
it's only 10 years away, which is not a long time now
Love, Palo

It will be tough going in the thrill dept to top four straight Stanley Cups from '76-79 by Les Habs!!I think this has been an under reported event in the history of Western Civilization, and it gave hope to many suffering during the Carter Years ;-)lol

Have a good swim Palo...the acceleration may be wondrous for us all, but I am with Loddy, I relish my childhood memories, and am so glad that I grew up when I did...I would also, never change it for anything...

Say, Loddy, do you remember the old timey Polio shots they gave out then...its not like now, with the oral vaccine, given in doses....in my time it was with the reusable, sterlized needle....

I remember the Polio scares, and when the finally got the vaccine...my dad and uncle from downstairs, loaded me and my brother, and my two cousins into the car, and took us all to our favorite family doc, Dr. Rosen...

They lined us four kids in a row, and one by one, Doc Rosen gave each one of us our shot in turn...

My mom and aunt did not go with in the car....I guess they did not want to hear the sound of four kids whining and crying about how much that shot hurt...so they entrusted us to the care of our dad and uncle...

Of course, dad and uncle were badgered into taking us kids all out for an ice cream cone after our shot...

hi andysmom
it's good to cherish memories of happy childhood
even unhappy experiences (junior high school) were rich in life, emotion, and adventure
(I suffered then but giggle bout them now)
it's nice also to look forward to a glorious future again
childhood is remarkable world cause all we did was play
Love, Palo

I don't know how the mass awakening will compare to Habs winning the Cup
I hope it won't be a let down for you

It may be that in some places the shots were given out in school...but for whatever reason, we were taken to our family doctor for our polio shots...

Being that I grew up, living in a two story house, with my aunt and uncle and my two cousins living on the first floor, and my family lived on the second floor, it was like I grew up with three brothers, not just my biological brother....

Whenever any of us kids got sick, the others always wanted to go along for moral support, and to get the treats we always got at the docs office(probably a sucker), and the treats our parents got us for behaving at the docs office...

One time, when our parents were remodeling, they had a new sink down in the basement...one of my cousins picked up the end of that sink, and promptly dropped it, smack dab on his foot, and flattened that foot, like a pancake...

I think the kid was in shock, tho, as he did not cry, and said it did not hurt...

I remember all of us kids piled into the car and off we went to the docs office, my cousin hanging that foot out of the window...we other kids got a kick out of the whole incident...my cousin had a flat foot...we laughed all the way to the docs office, we just thought the whole thing was so funny....guess we did not realize how upset our parents were...

They X-Rayed the foot, and I guess he did break a few bones in his toes, and some in his foot, but they did nothing more than splint the whole thing, and in due time it healed...

But my cousin was a star of the neighborhood, showing off his 'flat foot'

Kids...they are a riot...

I can remember reading about your childhood on that thread about growing up on Long Island. That was a fun read :-)

Out of curiousity, if the Fall is reversed, then will all memory of the Clinton's vanish?? Will Grannie even know who the father of her bastards will be??lol

During the mass awakening we will remember everything
(all our past lives, and even before that)
Not everyone will choose to live in the unfallen world
a planet is being prepared for those who want life to continue just the way it's always been
I figure clinton is the anti-Christ
it seems pointless to remember him at all when our planet has arisen from the Fall
and is now fully conscious
If chickita remembers all her past lives and cannot remember the pop of her twins
then I call it ''selective memory''

Yes I do. All us kids lined up to get plugged! I also know that my cousin got a lite dose of the polio, and turned out to be a SpecialForces Colonel, years later. Who knows. What is meant to be will be.

It's nice that you're having a good time in the Canteen. Some of the girls want to be strippers/hookers, but they're good girls - much like our Gran and palo verde, you know - just looking for an evening out of the house.

No harm no foul, they say.

Yes, I am having a grand time at the canteen...I am sure the gals are just having a fun time, just like the gals here at DD...

You are right, kids are idiots...when I remember the things we did, crazy as they were, and the way we acted at times, I am surprised our parents did not drown us(Tho I bet they wanted to, at times)...its no wonder, our parents got grey hair, after all, we gave it to them...

Palo, a while back I spent several minutes watching the falcons...when I first clicked on, the four babes were all just resting...

But then one of the adults showed up, and they all got up and got into a little circle of sorts...

Then the adult began to feed each one of them...it was just so cute, watching each one of them, waiting their turn for food....

Then the adult ran out of food, I guess, and flew off in the search for more food...the babes just sat around, tummies full, and then eventually they laid down...it was just the sweetest thing to watch...

Those babes sure are cute...they look like they are wearing great big downy fur coats, and have downy hats on, and then have a black mask on over their beaks and eyes...they are just so very precious...I will miss them when they eventually take flight, and leave us...
