Lived in DC for 6 mos. when younger. My parents have lived there forever so we have visited a lot. I still get the heebies going to those monuments though. Even our kids were impressed.
My best visit ever was going to see the inauguration of W and the hearty send off of the sleazebags. Linda and I went from the inauguration to a pub on Wisconsin Ave and ordered a bottle of champagne.
We toasted to better times.
And in spite of the terrorists....they are.
