"any tips on how to never get there?" Shopping (this works well for girls)....LOTS of shopping, sports, the outdoors (wilderness stuff is good; survival skills could come in handy when you drop them off on the top of a mountain and instruct them to think about what they did as they're trying to find their way home....for that "desperate times call for desperate measures" occasion), expose them to a lot of healthy activities and watch for signs of them becoming passionate about something and encourage it (as long as it isn't the opposite sex....this needs no encouragement), mental stimulation (some of them won't like this one...depends on the kid).

Sam Snead, the PGA Tour's all-time leader with 81 victories, has died following complications from a stroke, the US Golf Association has announced. Known as "Slammin Sammy", Snead has been credited with 135 worldwide wins – including three Masters, three US PGA Championships and one British Open. He also won tour-sponsored events in six different decades.
He was four days shy of his 90th birthday.

That's what were doing with our grandsons - the 7 year old LOVES to play badminton with grampa. The younger one likes to do crafts with me. He is quite artsy but actually the older one (the badminton lover) is the most artsy of all. He can draw like you wouldn't believe. One of my sister's boys IS an artist. He has showings and all but makes his living as a graphic artist - designing logo's for Companies all over North America. I guess it's in the family. I just didn't get it. LOL

Changing the subject here to Chandra Levy. Notice how the media tippy toes around actually saying Condit IS the suspect. Now of course they are focusing on the park predator. I think she was killed somewhere else and dumped there. How else would they have missed finding her in the first thorough search?? I pray that that creep does not walk. Sorry I didn't get back sooner...meeting all day plus our server was down after the quake. Lots of aftershocks; just felt a good one about 5 min. ago.
Was sitting in a conference room with 6 other guys and everyone's looking at each other wondering who will bolt for the door first...lots of fun!
These darn tectonic plates are really restless today.
