Thread 311
U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, ending months of personal soul-searching and speculation about his political future, plans to announce today his resignation from Congress. The Pensacolian, who won the Republican primary with an overwhelming 78 percent of the vote just last September, has scheduled a press conference for 2 p.m. in downtown's Bartram Park. He declined on Thursday to discuss what he plans to say, but a friend who did not want to be identified said he will resign from Congress in two weeks.
Scarborough, 38, was elected in the historic 1994 landslide that gave Republicans control of the House and Senate for the first time in 40 years. But in the last two years, he repeatedly has expressed his frustration with Washington politics. He also has said that a chronic back problem creates a constant strain, and, most particularly, he wants to spend more time with his two sons, now 13 and 10.
LOL....this reminds me of back in 1987 when I served as the Senate Journals Clerk in the Montana Legislature. One of the dingbats on the rostrum was a Democrat. I was lamenting in late January that the partying was still going on and I wished the Senators would stop and get down to business! This Kathy says to me, "Oh Dee...you stuffy Republicans.....you all may have the $$$$ to throw a party, but only the Democrats know how to really party". The dipshit asked me to come with her to the next shindigl.
The entire month of January beginning about 5:30 in the evening was solid parties, soirees, yada yada, that were put on most always by lobbyists, though the parties did some of it, too.
The rest of the session (February to end of April) contained lots of parties, too, but nothing like January.
I couldn't tell you about any sex orgies or getting caught....but there sure was a lot of rumors flying!
Aren't they all....that or "natural causes" (ignore that bullet hole in the back of the head).
and with that begging and grovelling last thought...I will bid you goodnight...
Go Wings
for the Avalanche...it's all downhill from here. Beginnings of a meltdown.
It was a financial scam, and that is organized crime.
I have been in that end of the arms business and it is a different group of people. That is not to say honest or ethical, but they are very very different groups.
Just because people are doing bad things does not mean they are in a giagantic conspiracy together, or even like each other any more than they like us. There are not just two sides. There is us, and then there are thousands of independant other sides that want different things.

But he is the real deal, and I wish I could vote for him!
Did I say the Clinton/Rodham Mob was innocent?
I said they were not part of some huge labarynthine Evil conspiracy out to dominate the World. They are just a bunch of greedy grifters and con men out to get all the bucks they can.
Eeevil people are not smart enough to manage some huge conspiracy. They couldn't even manage the Georgian Nut Scam, or Garbage Collection in New York City
There is no Professor Moriarty
