Even though my mom was pretty tough with me, I never referred to her as Bi*** or anything else derogatory. She needed to be tough with me - I was a real challenge.

My mom and I still tangle - it won't change. I am not controllable by her and she takes that to mean I am out of control. So be it. But I don't call her names (my kids do, though, they don't like to be around her at all)

Oops - they don't call her names to her face, I didn't mean that. But being boys, they seem to always be quick with name-calling. Especially with each other.

My mom needed to be tough with me, I wasn't exactly out of control, but I was going to be heading down the wrong road, and needed a firm hand. we don't tangle much anymore, I think she's fairly content with how I turned out. We certainly don't agree on everything, and she does crab about my housekeeping, but, hey, if she wants to visit and clean my house, come on down!

*L* He's fully dressed. I don't know how the show got that name - maybe because he cooks so off-the-cuff. No recipe books and strict measurements. Just tosses in ingredients and eats them.
