These schools are getting really out of hand .. I remember reading an article last year about a 5 yr that picked up his chicken finger lunch .. pointed at the teacher and said Bang Bang .. he also was kicked out of school
My questions at the time were
1. Isn't this a violation of his 1st Amendment Rights?? .. and
2. Should the School be held accountable for supplying the deadly chicken finger weapon??

The lady across the highway and catty-corner from me is an elementary school teacher. She and several of the teachers took a painting class in our craft store and I heard them talking about an 8-year old girl who had been re-zombiefied by the parent, doctor, and school admin! She's really easy to handle now--of course she has to be lead around and told absolutely everything to do--and there's that constant 'blank' stare to deal with! These teachers were really ticked off about this and were talking generally about what they hear from friends/acquaintances in other school systems--and it isn't good.
Do kids have problems--of course they do....but just as with adults or even livestock, drugs will often mask underlying problems.
I've always though there sould be no finacial penalty. Instead, it should be an implied consent law. You don't have your seatbelt on, and you're killed in an accident, you've consented to be an organ donor.
(Maybe the recipients will take better care of your organs)...
You want my opinion .. it all comes down to discipline
Parents don't like to discipline their kids because the kids get mad at them or they don't like to see them cry .. in the mean time little Johnny and little Suzie turn out to be a bowel full of energy because they were never taught to control themselves so when the get to school .. teachers either don't want to deal with it or are afraid to deal with it for fear of being sued .. so what do they do .. put the kids on Ritalin to control them .. Ritalin is like a downer which is why these kids get the blank stare .. it is like they are stoned out of their mind
Problem is .. what happens when these kids are adults and have to go into the real world .. they will NEVER make it and then there is .. what are the long term affects of being on Ritalin for so long .. my guess it won't be good
Don't get me wrong .. there are kids that do need Ritalin .. but most kids don't
Well.....he's had trouble all through school until this last year......and that is thanks to his sister! She's actually acting more as a Mom than the Mom has. Bri has even read up on 'anger management', among other things, and has lots of talks with Cody and hugs him a lot at the same time.
