Forgot to mention: the past 2 nights have been clear for the hour or so after sunset, and so I was able to enjoy the rare sight of several planets together in the western sky.

Saturn, Mars, Venus formed a triangle, with Mercury, nearby, faint but visible closer to the horizon.

Above them all beamed a proud Jupiter.

Wonderful exhibit of God's handiwork in the heavens!

Molly, I just saw the planets last night. They're usually covered by a cloud. They're spectacular!

We've had cloudy or overcast weather for days now ..... but no rain til Friday night. We haven't been able to see much of anything. Tonight may be our only chance as I think it's supposed to cloud back up again tomorrow and stay that way for several more days.

If we're going to have the clouds, it seems like we could at least have some rain to go with them ...... :-(

The planetary show is supposed to be best soon after dusk, isn't it?
