Will this hurt or help New York's image?
Bus Driver Removes Knife From His Back To Stab AttackerA city bus driver stabbed on the job in Brooklyn turned around and fatally stabbed his attacker Sunday. Police say 33-year-old Clinton Phillip was at the wheel of the B-60 in Brownsville Sunday afternoon when a passenger identified as 31-year-old Christopher Bartley complained he wasn't driving fast enough. Bartley then drove a knife into Phillip's back, according to police. Phillip was able to remove the knife and then stabbed his attacker. Investigators say Bartley left the bus and hailed a cab to Brookdale Hospital, where he later died.

"Lisa is already at the Airport. She won't be able see this till she gets back." ROTFL! Poor girl. We tried to warn her. Hehehe...well, I hope you will both have a wonderful time.

I think that's a bad thing. I mean, would you want to go out with somebody that you knew had been snooping into your private life? I wouldn't. I had an experience quite a few years ago that totally freaked me out. I think I posted it here once before, about the guy who found my address by my phone number and showed up at my door with flowers when I had told him I was too sick to go out that night. I think it's just creepy that people can invade your privacy that way.

I also posted a long boring story about the Arthur Anderson trial in the news section to redeem myself.

I can think of about 78,944 things I would rather do than ride a city bus in a big city.

They are a great hang-out for filthy drunken bums .... I've never been to France, but I hear the people are stinky. If French people rode city buses in most American cities, that's what they would think about us: LE PEEUUUEEWW

One thing I've always found interesting though is that city folks are afraid in the country and country folks are afraid in the city. Well, I can't say whether or not this is true of men, but I have discussed this with quite a few women and it seems to be the case.
I have a friend in Georgia who thinks I am out of my mind because I will drive across country alone and just doesn't understand why it doesn't scare me to death. I am quite comfortable with it and find the experience very relaxing. This same person will fly to New York and ride the subways alone and I think she is crazy. No way would I do that!
I have heard other women say they would be scared to death to live in the country because they would be afraid of wild animals or of somebody sneaking up on them and nobody would be around to help them. Personally, I have found country folks to be some of the most observant of what's going on around them and help in a "crisis" is seldom far away. And it doesn't matter if they know you or not.
Having a lot of people around is certainly no guarantee of safety as some of the stories of crimes being committed in front of hundreds of witnesses and nobody helping testify to. Personally, when I am someplace where I am always hearing voices and traffic and sirens, I am unable to ever completely relax. I am far more confident when there is silence except for the sounds of the birds, crickets and cicadas, the frogs and geese, the wind in the trees and rain on the roof. Others are restless when there is no noise. Go figure.

I understand that LisaAnne has a laptop. But that aside, Swervie will be much too busy trying to convince her that all those stories we told her about him are not true to get online.
