I remember the sign on the highway in Oregon marking that line. I drove right on past it, but read it aloud to the kids. They really, really cared, too.

good night all, pleasure chatting...

*L* I know Loop is a goofy name. I married into it - made my initials V A L

Have you seen that special that they did on TLC I believe it was, a couple of years ago about the predicted scenario of the next major North American quake and the far reaching effects? They said that it would be like the one in Alaska in the 60's (or was it 80's) that was in excess of 9.0 on the richter scale. It would be a vertical quake with the epicenter off the Pacific coast of Alaska that would trigger a massive tsunami. The intensity of the siesmic activity would trigger the eruption of Mt. Ranier and the Pacific Coast would be devastated by the chain reaction. It would destroy gas and power lines and the eruption of Ranier would cause even more tsunamis...and on and on. It was a very good special. I have seen it a couple of times. It was all very scientific.

Aww shucks T! Already? Seems you just got here. Well, have a good night and sweet dreams. *Hugs*

No, how did I miss that show? Mt Rainier is going to cause major devastation when she erupts. In my dream it was flinging up lava rocks and rumbling and then lava began to flow... then the hand of God rose up from the crater. I must have been 9 and 10 when I kept having that dream. I rarely dream (r remember them), and it's best this way. *LOL* They are too freaky.
No, not the ratty kind of freaky - just spooky odd.

One problem with volcanoes...besides the obvious is that they can wreak havoc with getting around. Most of the islands only have one major road to get from city to city and if it gets blocked there are serious problems.

Dang it! This wine does not taste good. It has a strong odor of the stinky cork - which was too dry. I stored it upright for a month or so (forgot where I hid it from the kids *L*) then laid it on its side in the (oops, I said laid) freezer, and the dry cork odor tainted it.

Puts a little different twist on the job desription for a guy that works on a road crew! Here's one after it cooled from a different angle. Bizarre huh?

I think I'll have to buy wine in a box next time -- forget this corked bottle sh!t.
To: sweetliberty
A helicopter might be a good idea there.
To: ValerieUSA
"forget this corked bottle sh!t" Of course there are always the ones with the screw top caps! Hehehe...

Have you been peeking in my camera lately? I took the dang thing and 3 rolls of film with me.....just take a little ol' guess as to how many exposures I have left?
Just in case you find it too hard to guess, try the nunmber 108! I didn't take a single solitary photo.

Are you watching Leno? he just got off a good line! He was saying that the democrats are saying that if they were in power that they could get Israel to pull our of the west bank. He says, "shut up. They couldn't even get Bill to pull out of Monica!" Hehehehe...

Dang it! This wine does not taste good. It has a strong odor of the stinky cork - Put it in the blender for 30 seconds to aerate it. pour into a wide mouth jar and let stand for half an hour. Then add a few drops of apple juice or grape juice to freshen. If it makes it too sweet, add drops of lemon juice or cider vinegar

Well, Ringy.....if its cold, er COLD, get a man or a dog---preferably a Border Collie, if you opt for the man! :)
Hi girlfriend......surprise, surprise.....I shopped on 2 different days, yes I did.....the most fun was had at the book stores!!!
I think daughter thought the most productive day was Lingerie Day....I thought the most productive day was Seabiscuit Day--its available now in paperback; it is also a book that Swervie mentioned before.

Spoken like a true expert in fine art of drunkeness wine sampling.

Thanks swrve - too bad my blender doesn't work, and I have no apple or grape juice - but the odor is leaving after having the bottle open for an hour and half. I'll pour it into a glass pitcher and see if it airs out faster.

There's nothing wrong with Loop anymore than there is with Ball (I married into that one).
Once upon a time I called a publishing house in Virginia to order a book....turns out the author was also involved with the publishing house....he answered the phone and we spent a wonderful 45 minutes on my dime discussing the Balls of Fairfax County (Virginia)....my husband's ancestors!!! He told me some wonderful stories....a couple of which were in the family book!! He was just an absolute delightful elderly Southern gentleman.
