I just about finished getting my Hawaii pictures uploaded today.
To: ValerieUSA
i just found out recently that the monarchs migrate... what the hell for? i always thought their lives would be shorter than to spend it flying to cancun and all...
To: sweetliberty
i would love to be able to take my family to hawaii.... not so much for the beaches, but the kid loves volcanoes... and the wife the beach, loves the beach... and i might get laid... by a pretty flower offering

"but with a 5 year old, now six, it does make every experience fresh and new..." Trevor isn't it? Did he have a fun birthday? I sure hope I can get to Colorado for Tyler's birthday. It was terrible missing it last year.
To: sweetliberty
i hope you sent a nice card... and i hope you can make it to his birthday too, yes, to see trevor's face open stuff he wanted is precious... it won't be long before he loses that and has that "i wanted the other " look
To: teeman8r
"and i might get laid... by a pretty flower offering" I think you'd better be talking about Mrs. Teeman!
To: teeman8r
This is one of my sons - guess which one?
To: ValerieUSA
hey, isn't that gavin loop?....
he owes me money...
To: teeman8r
Get in line! I think the Hawaiian lei is not spelled "laid" except by dirty old men. *LOL*

"the kid loves volcanoes... " I think Trevor and Tyler would get along great. Tyler is faxcinated with natural phenomena like that...and weather. Stuff about volcanoes and tornados and all that on TLC and the Discovery channel just really held his attention.
The volcanoes are intriguing. It is really weird to stand on the ground where the smoke is rising from the ground and you can feel the heat right through your shoes. A little scary too. Kilauwea wasn't quite in the state of activity as in this picture although it had been being very active just prior to the time we were there. You could buy the photos though....and of course postcards. Some of them are really beautiful.

That font is called "space toaster" - I really like it.

I AM FREEZING. I said, I said, IT'S COLLLLD. Shiver shake. :) Hi Val. :)
To: ValerieUSA
space toaster is one of my favorite fonts too... maybe we could get together and compare serifs.....

Well, Val.......how's this for a little confession.......I saw the "Gavin Loop" and thought how nice it was that she happened to find this nice loop street that has the same name as her son! DUH! Hello Rowdee! Think I've got street names on the brain? Street vs Avenue, Parkway vs Drive, Loop? Way? Highway?
Did you know the 45th parallel is not too far from here....it is the exact center between the North Pole and the Equator (I think that's the lines)?

This is one spot where the lava flow was still active from the last eruption.
To: sweetliberty
I've always been fascinated with volcanoes, too - had weird dreams about Mt Rainier when I was a kid. My husband patrolled Mt Helens after it erupted.
To: Rowdee
well rowdee, perhaps you could take a picture of the line and post it for us.....
To: sweetliberty
hehehe, you said eruption... hehehe
