Sorry...lesbe friens agin...
:-)
But they really need to clean their act up here.
Seems they are (finally).
Nice....
This is a major business story. The Catholic Church is a major religious and Educational enterprise. it is a non profit that depends on donations because it does not have a sufficient endownment. The scandal has put the brakes on large donations. People may put money in the box to pay the day to day costs of their church, their priest, but the large bequests have pretty much stopped. At the same time the Church is probably going to face a Billion dollars in judgements. It doesn't have the money. It will be forced into bankruptcy. That means a conservator appointed, assets sold off, people fired in vast numbers. How will the workout and recovery be done?

They'll survive because they're finally dealing with it.
They're sometimes slow, but they have a knack for landing on their feet. Not to mention they do some pretty good stuff.
Gnightall.
Not Catholic either, and I am sure they will survive, but the billion dolar hit seems pretty certain just on the suits that are already filed, and based on the amounts awarded in suits that have already been tried.
The drop in major donations is reported by the church itself. They are gonna finally clean up their acts when an outsider is put in temporary charge, someone with no friends to protect and only his rep as an honest administrator to protect

I think so. That's where the ones all around it are from. Hehehe..some of them I didn't label.
WICHITA, Kan. -- Barbara Bush decided it was breast not to take offense.
The former first lady was in El Dorado earlier this month to speak at Butler County Community College. A reporter for The Wichita Eagle misheard her, and the newspaper quoted her as joking about having three "breast sizes" during her life, rather than three "dress sizes."
The newspaper ran a correction the following day. But recently it received a letter from Mrs. Bush. The letter was printed on the newspaper's Sunday editorial page.
"I've just become abreast of your recent article `Barbara Bush wows El Dorado,'" the letter began.
"I am indeed a bosom buddy to two presidents, so I shared some of the things I have learned in 76 years of life," she wrote. "That includes 57 years of married life, six children, 14 grandchildren, five wars, three DRESS sizes, two governors, two parachute jumps, and now two presidents.
"Your article has left this generally outspoken mother speechless, but has given my children much to laugh about."
At the end of the typed letter was a handwritten note: "I just wanted to get this off my chest!"
