Swerve, another BEAR ALERT!

This morning Ms cp noticed that a garbage can, lid and all, was missing without a trace. I found it about 300 feet up the mountain in thick woods. The garbage had been inspected and was in a neat little pile no more than two feet in diameter. A bear had taken that can without making a sound or leaving any sign of his having been here. In case you are wondering, I had three rounds in the rifle, just in case. He is getting to be an nuisance.

I rip up and throw away the High Times magazines I find around the house. One of the kids had to do alternative school for 3 weeks already once this year. Not fun for me to drive him clear across town every day. He still hasn't finished his community service sentence. The school security cops are just waiting......

You need to get some slugs for the shotgun. The rifle will kill him, but mybe not in time to stop him from field stripping one of you.

There were some chicken farmers in Washington that would dump the dead or spoiled chickens out by a river in the woods and that sure attracted a lot of bears way too close to town. That stench was so awful.
