Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, on his way home from work at City Hall, came to a dead halt in traffic on the Dan Ryan Expressway and thought to himself, "Wow, this traffic seems worse than usual. Nothing's moving at all."
He noticed a State Trooper walking back and forth between the lines of cars, so he rolled down his window and asked, "Officer, I'm Mayor Richard M. Daley, what's the problem; what's holding everything up?."
The trooper replied, "It's the Reverend Jackson. He's so depressed about the thought of everyone knowing about his extra-martial affair, his illegitimate child, and the drop in Rainbow revenue since September 11 that he stopped his car in the middle of the Dan Ryan Expressway, and is threatening to douse himself with gasoline and set himself on fire."
"He says the country and his congregation are blaming him for his infidelity, and he doesn't know if he can live with the shame and embarrassment much less the drop in financial support.
The people in the halted cars along the expressway are taking up a collection for him."
"Oh really," replied Mayor Daley. "How much have they collected for the Reverend Jackson so far?"
"About 300 gallons," said the trooper, "but they're still siphoning".

I knew he'd prefer to keep using his more ferocious looking eagle
that is emblem for USA
it seemed like a lovely change
to use eagle sitting in nest with her two eggs
and mate on branch
way high up under lovely sky
it makes eagles seem more real
and more alive
and more full of consciousness

Good morning all, for its still morning here on the west coast...and a dismal morning it is...rainy, cloudy, windy and nasty....and it was like that all last night...thought the house was going to blow away, it was so windy...
Finally got a good nights sleep, tho I think I slept too much, as now I feel groggy...need much coffee to awaken me.....
Well, I suppose today, I should do the income tax....for years now, we have had no deuctions that count for anything....no dependants, no mortgage payments, no credit card interest, nothing that can alter our taxes...so we just use the 1040EZ and leave it at that...we usually wind up either paying 100 dollars or getting 100 dollars back...so I leave it always, until the very last minute...I may actually prepare it this weekend, but of course we never send it in until the last day...or I may just wait until Monday, do it then and then mail it in
I am the income tax procrastinator...

lol - I am the tax procrastinator in this house. October 15th is a perfectly reasonable date to file.
Have you thought of filing on line with TurboTax? You can go through their filing questions to you and find out if you can use their service for free. Kinda cool.
