Thanks for the weather link, Westy....it gives a really good forecast for the rest of the week, as well as the current weather...and I can check all the cities where my friends and relative live....I am bookmarking this link, as I am sure I will be using it quite often...

sweet dreams darling lodwick
To: andysandmikesmom
eagle looked unhappy all day long
I'm stunned at how much dramatic weather you guys get
To: andysandmikesmom
I'm baaaaaaack. Everything watered down.
In the Weatherbug, by clicking on Travel, then typing Chicago in the city line, you get webcams at the Water Tower, the various airports (I couldn't bring Meigs up, tho) and lots of other places. It's been wet, shiny and gloomy the past few days, and people are trudging around in heavy coats. Fun to look at. Almost as good as the eagles...
To: andysandmikesmom
isn't it a good link
westy and oki use it all the time
I think I'll save it to desktop
so I have it available always
To: okimhere
and people are trudging around in heavy coats
oki I am shocked
how can they still be in heavy coats!!!
it is hot here already
To: palo verde
Well, most of our late fall, all winter, and early spring are nothing but cloudy skies, grey skies, and rain...tho it does not usually pour, but rather can be lots of showers here and there, or an all day drizzle...
But if you can get through those really dismal times, late spring, all summer and early fall are really quite joyful...blue skies, sunshine, and moderately warm temps...
Thankfully, because this is a temperate clime, we dont get those extremes of weather, subzero, or blazing hot...tho this winter we did get more than our usual amount of snow...and sometimes, it can get hot in the summer...tho blazing hot to us means anything over 80 degrees...we Pacific Northwesterners are such babies...
To: westmex
We have to get this place back to respectability...lol... .....Westy...That's the regal "we", I take it? LOL - we'll wait and see how you do, Westy darlin'!!!!
To: palo verde
If I remember right, their high was 46* today. With snow spritzes, my sister said earlier this week. And in Chicago, of course, cold winds off the lake.
To: okimhere
oki I realized I have an eagle katchina (sp?) doll
now that I am so close to eagles it means even more to me
(his name is Alex)
To: palo verde
Palo, you download and install it. Then you always have the local temp showing down by the clock. You right click on the temp and it brings up a bunch of other stuff...

And each type of kachina (I think...) doll has a particular meaning to the Indians. I wonder what the eagle represents.
To: westmex
LOL LOL - I forgot to mention a step or two when typing to Andysmom, didn't I? Your directions make more sense. I never would have found the Water Tower cam again if you hadn't given me such clear directions. Thanks, Westy!
To: okimhere
their high was 46!!!
on April 14th
doesnt chicago know spring is here
oh those poor darlings
who is sending them this lousy weather
lol oki you have good command of yiddish
my dad always said ''I'm spritzing''
it means I'm sweating in yiddish
To: westmex

I'll do it
Love, Palo
To: andysandmikesmom
tho blazing hot to us means anything over 80 degrees...we Pacific Northwesterners are such babies...
on the desert we are babies bout the cold
anything below 70 degrees and we are in tears
To: andysandmikesmom
and after two days without sunshine we have nervous breakdown
To: palo verde
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing! I know when I plotz but I didn't remember where spritz came from. My mother worked for a Jewish family and I'm sure some of their phrases are still tucked away in my memory cells - LOL.
To: okimhere
I think the Hopis make the kachina dolls
I think kachinas are gods
