Yeah, my hubby is a good guy...he works for the post office(no nasty jokes, please)...his regular schedule is 7pm-3:30am, but he has been on the ODL(Overtime Desired List) for ages...so they have him come in early, at 4pm, and his quitting time is supposed to be 3:30am, but sometimes they have to stay over an extra hour, if things are running behind...
There are so many on Free Republic, who make fun of civil servants, and especially enjoy bashing the post office...well, all I know is, my husband works on the docks at night, works hard loading and unloading mail semi trucks, breaking the mail down, and working his ass off....
He spent 10 yrs in the active army, was an airborne soldier, and darned proud of it...He also put 17 yrs into the reserves...so all toll he has 27 yrs service to the military....and has served the post office for many years....for most of his life, hes been an employee of the federal government...It just bugs me, when know nothings bash all civil servants, and postal employees.....my husband does not deliver the mail, but he is a mail handler, and he works so hard, as do the rest of his fellow employees at the Tacoma plant....
So I do my part, by keeping him happy and healthy and full of the foods his likes....I take good care of him...hes my guy..

It sounds like Bill is going to have a fine time camping and caving...I am glad he is going with other people this time...remember last time, he went off by himself, and we were all worried when it dark and he wasnt home yet...we sat up with you and rejoiced when Bill finally arrived home to his Palo, safe and sound...
Poor Happy, he is going to miss his 'dad' when he goes off for a weekend of fun...Palo you and Lulu have to give Happy special attention this weekend, so he wont be so lonely...

Good job! As you should know, I bash very few, make that none of my FReeperFReinds.
My wife works for the Disability Dertermination Division of SS.
Trust me, I know that many of our gov. workers are many sandwiches shy of a good picnic, and there are also many others who could fill your basket many times over blindfolded.

Well, of course you are right...there are good guys and bad guys in every profession and line of work....
I think I am a little sensitive about this today...yesterday, on some various threads, there were lots and lots of Freepers bashing postal workers...I was so angry, I did not respond...If I had responded with my true feelings, I am sure I would have been banned...
