What are some of your favorite comedy shows of all time?
For myself, I like Howard Stern's old Channel 9 show, Fawlty Towers, Police Squad, The Young Ones, et al. I'm sure other people have different ideals as to what they consider humorous....
It belongs in General Interest.
But there is only one answer: "The Andy Griffith Show.
Not for bellylaffs, but for humor as it ought to be.

In the past, I Love Lucy.
You and I must have been the only ones to watch that show. It didn't last long. James Thurber was my favorite cartoonist/humorist during high school.
Another sit-com that didn't last long that I really liked was Brooklyn Bridge. It reminded me so much of my childhood in Chicago in the '50s and '60s.

Yes, that was a very funny show that made me laugh back in the mid-'60s. I don't know that I would find it as funny now.

Or the episode where Elaine takes Jim as her date for the fancy recital and the scheduled pianist can't make it so Jim volunteers to fill in. ("I must've had lessons.")
I'm still cracking up. Hahahahahahahaha.

Don't remember the name of the second series, but it was about an exfootball player who retired and in the episode is a bar owner. He was a kicker for a professional football team and was known as "Joe the Toe." He was straight, but his brother wasn't. Can anybody remember the name of this series?]
Both series were all too funny.
Oh Rickie! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
There was a movie out last fall, Rat Race (a remake of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World basically) in which Cuba Gooding Jr. ends up driving a bus load of Lucille Ball imitators.
Also way back on SNL, Gilda Radner was lucy in a skit where she had to take bombs off the end of a conveyor belt and carry them somewhere else. Well, of course, the belt kept moving faster and faster. That was a funny parody of a really stupid Lucy show.
