In its time, Lucy. For all time, now that's tricky. I was just a kid, but I remember teary eyes from laughing at the Ernie Kovacs Show and Lunch With Soupy Sales. Best ever would have underlying, timeless values, which is rare for comedy. So I would have to go with My World and Welcome to It. No sitcom writer approaches Thurber.

Oh yeah, I never laughed so hard, but then I was just a young kid. Funny slapstick (cream pie in the face) stuff. I don't know how well that would hold up for an adult, but man, to a kid, that was funny.

Agree with you on Soupy Sales. Very funny. Adults having fun on a kids show. If you were a kid and "got it," it was even funnier.
