What Does The Current Version Have That The Beta Does Not?

I will wrap up the beta and install it this weekend.
What necessary functions are available in the current version of Free Republic's software that are not available in the beta?

The search function in the current version offers searching articles+replies and the beta does not.

All the posts looked squished in between two columns. Can we have headers at the top for different options like before? Or maybe a preference to "View Old Style FR".

Speaking of "bump_lists," just how does one use them? How does one implement one? How do you know who is in a particular bump_list?
I admit I haven't spent much time on these questions in the past, but I really would like to know.

Old eyes have enough trouble reading, even on a 19" monitor!

What Does The Current Version Have That The Beta Does Not? WHITE SPACE.
The beta has side bars on both sides and as a result the text is jammed into the middle. It looks funny and as others have remarked, the font is hard to read.
Lose one of the sidebars. Open the page up...That's it- FREE THE PAGE!

Do you really want topic lists now or later?
GI Topic: Tolkien please?
Books is OK - but not the same as our Tolkien index,
And TV/Movies might want to be seperate topics!
And whether you ever move the old Hobbit Hole thread and the old Green Dragon thread over to GI, they should be locked so we don't end up in parallel universes!
Hobbits love the new FreeRepublic!

Graphicly the new version seems more confusing to navigate than the old one. There is less contrast.
