Melting snow reveals hundreds of urine bottles at roadside

Workers cleaning the sides of motorways in the north-west of the US are finding hundreds of urine-filled bottles.

Cleaning crews in Washington state are uncovering the bottles as the winter snow melts.

It is believed they were filled by motorists 'caught short' on long drives and then tossed out of windows.

Gary Lambacher of the state government says one crew in Spokane has found 300 bottles in just a week.

Reports say they're even coming across fully-filled gallon bottles.

The USSR won the war, because the Germans did not know the correct way to relieve themselves (0)

The Wermacht’s instructions were found in the archives by Aleksey Kirichenko, a scientist from the Institute of Asian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is known that the translation of the instructions were put on Stalin’s table on May of 1942. They say that Stalin laughed his head off, and then realized that the Germans would lose the war.

“The command for urination was “Relieve yourselves!” When the urine stream comes out, a man makes a one-eighth turn to the right and steps his leg aside in this position in order to prevent it from spattering on his clothes. The urine stream is like a parabola, on which the urine stream goes, cutting the discharge canal in the so-called point of spattering. After urination, a man stands still for a certain period of time and then makes a step back.

Relieving oneself is usually performed in a sitting position. A man lifts the rear parts of the clothes up and then squats down, until the buttocks touch the toilet seat. The body weight is distributed over both of the buttocks equally. The upper part of the body is bent a little forward, the elbows rest on the soft muscles of the front part of the legs, and the eyes look straight ahead. After relieving the himself, a man stands up, making a one-eighth turn to the left, lifts up the rear part of the butt, takes the toilet tissue with a thumb and a point finger of the right hand, and moves it between the buttocks, slightly pressing on the tissue. It is not allowed to eat, sleep, lie down, or take gifts during the stay in the closet.”

Years ago in journalism school, I learned that for satire to be good, it had to have some truth to it. You piece on the Catholic Church was good satire. Some obviously to offense to it and whined to the moderators. The threads that get posted from The Onion can be more offensive to some but remain in the forum. You would think that Catholics would be more upset that their offerings and donations are going to payoff victims of pervert Priests rather than helping spread God's Word in the community.

I'm sure Hillary might have been hurt when X42 lied about Monica. Do you think we should have all not made jokes about his lies and attempt to undermine the legal system?

When one does something wrong, they are subject to ridicule. That's the way the world works. The INS was ridiculed for giving Attah a Visa.

The Catholic Church made a big mistake. It is not a dig at the religion itself, but those leaders in it who screwed up bigtime. They are subject to ridicule.

Such is life.....

Hey, maybe you thought Whoopi Goldberg's Oscar night line that there have been great tragedies this year but don't worry Mariah Carey's already made another movie (her flop Butterfly opened on 9/11) was funny, too.

You watched that? I didn't. I have more productive things to do than wasting my time with frivolity. And btw, post #6 has nothing to do with the WTC. Don't assume something you don't know and accuse others of doing such, like when you told Sir Gawain that he didn't believe in Christ. You don't know that!

Oh, so you are equating Hillary with all the Roman Catholic Faithful. I see. Again, Think. I think there is a slight difference. Uh, your bigotry is showing. V's wife.

I believe I asked him if he really did. Be accurate please.(don't you think freeping a so-called satire thread borders just a little on the frivolous? No? Now that's funny--and, revealing). V's wife.

Incorrect. Your words were "And obviously you don't believe in Christ." Doesn't sound like a question to me.

I apologize for being incorrect. But you didn't seem to like your faith being questioned, nor did Victoria like it. It was a sensitive subject. And I didn't like what you posted. You are free to post it, I didn't report abuse. I did call you a schmuck for posting it. Maybe that's why they pulled the thread, I don't know. But I am free to object to your idea of satire. And now you all who are so voacl about the freedom to say what you think funny and to post it, are in a knot about my freedom to say what I think is not funny. I am being called a disruptor. Well, report me. But I do think that is quite revealing. Are you all about Don't do what I do, do what I say? One even said he was glad it wasn't posted on the Religion thread because, obviously, it would upset people. Well, I saw it, it upset me and I indicated as much.

Well gee, how would you feel if a stranger walked up to you and said, "You must not believe in Christ"? Judging someone's heart is strictly God's territory. I can give you the verses if you'd like.

Why on earth would anyone want to regulate (much less monitor) 'that' temperature? Does it get too cold? Too hot? Who would do the testing?

LOL! Reading a 2 minute article is frivolous compared to someone watching 3 hours of Oscar awards?

Revealing? This is what's revealing!

V's wife: I believe I asked him if he really did.

Sir Gawain: Incorrect. Your words were "And obviously you don't believe in Christ." Doesn't sound like a question to me.
