I'm too old to cut the mustard anymore... Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.

"I was able to stay in Hobbiton without being there when the story turned dark, because I would fall asleep before the party most nights!"
Hey Corin, did you notice that one of the benefits of giving up bread is that now we have plenty of room for pints?

But you came in and posted your 30 grievances on The Hobbit Hole door. You might say that he nailed up his theses on our Hobbit Hole door. When Martin Luther did that, it put us Papists in a bad mood too!

Shame to hear about Strider's demise... I am sure he was a good fish. Yeah well, but at only 12 cents each, we couldn't really expect him to make his return to the throne anyway...

Storm's over! A nice drencher! If OT and I cover the postage, could you mail us some?

Maybe he likes pretty women who can ride and carry swords. All of us like pretty women who can ride and carry swords! (You can carry a sword, right!)

Hey Corin, did you notice that one of the benefits of giving up bread is that now we have plenty of room for pints? Somehow, I don't think that's gonna help the diet.
One of my favorite lines, even if it was from Rosie O'Donnell...On Weight Watchers you get 200 extra calories per week. I had two Amstel Lites...After two beers who the #$%% cares about Weight Watchers...

You might say that he nailed up his theses on our Hobbit Hole door. Yup, that's what I was thinkin'. 'Cept our door is green...

Maybe it just seemed like I waited a long time. Revisionist memory.A Rashomon moment for you, I guess?
To: DonnerT
been a little too distracted to even think about it.Welcome back, but distracted by a mere heart attack?!? After the second or third, you hardly notice them anymore (until the hospital bill comes in, that is). That diet is terrible, but eventually you get used to it/.

I may want to freepmail you for some tips on putting up a webpage, if it's OK. That sounds great.

They admitted me that night and removed it the next day. Hopefully they were able to use the newer procedure. I had the new one, and thank God that I did not have to have the older, far more debilitating procedure.
Corin, do not fool around with this stuff, get the tests. In my case, the gallstones blocked the 'common duct' which is used by the pancreas and the gall bladder. This results in acute pancreatitis, which is compared unfavorably with labor, by those who have had both. The difference is that I had it for several weeks, getting demerol shots several times a day. I was pretty much out of it for a month!

All of us like pretty women who can ride and carry swords! (You can carry a sword, right!)What a nice thing to say!
I've been out pulling weeds from between the two fences. Both of them are on my neighbor's property. There was a chain link one, then he put a privacy fence up on the inside of his chainlink one. So weeds grow on our side of the privacy fence and between the chain link fence. Seeing as they are those notorious sandburs, we have to pull them up. And since Steve can't get his hand through the chain link...I am obligated to do it.
It's not hard though. The soil is real sandy and they just pull up, mostly.

I have heard that some cardiologists are recommending the "Mediteranean" diet, which might be more pleasant than the traditional low fat ones.

I can see I'm gonna love this Ornish / Reversal diet. It is strictly vegitarian and even has helpful reci'peas. Spicy Tofu Chili Mac and Scrambled Mexican Tofu, yumm,, can't wait! </sarcoff>

Gee, I wish I had more time to keep up with things here. I missed some interesting happenings with the "30-point manifesto on the Hobbit Hole door".
Had a fun time with the family reunion today. Going to Phoenix reminded me why I live in the mountains - stinkin hot. It was fun playing with all the nieces and nephews in the pool though, and we had a birthday party for one of them (he turned 3 today).
And tomorrow I get to go to my first major-league baseball game - Diamondbacks vs Florida.

(You can carry a sword, right!) If it will help my image, then sure! I have actually considered buying the Narsil replica.... hmmmm....
To: HairOfTheDog
I saw Sting last night at that party I went to. It was indeed very light! But it was a true weapon...could shave the hair off your arm. It was made by some cutlery place...
To: HairOfTheDog; Lucius Cornelius Sulla
This is what it looked like...
The kid that had it was like 13 years old...a young lady. I thought "Nobody's abducting this kid from her bedroom!"
To: ecurbh
Good evening to you! I am back from dinner at the beach house! - It is about to get hot here this week, according to the forecast... but I am sure I will get no sympathy from you either... Phoenix is worse!
