But as far as climates go, I really love this temperate climate of the Pacific Northwest...Me too... The rain gets in my way sometimes when my horse and I would like to explore the hills, but I wouldn't give up my nice shady trees for any sunnier clime!
To: westmex
lol that is true, it never crossed my mind you could be mad at me
especially since I've done so much worse :)
Love, Palo

oh I would give anything for nice shady trees
trees is one thing we do not have here at all
and I love trees
To: andysandmikesmom

but I see my Lulu snoozing on sun couch now
with her head on down pillow
our Sun is still toasty warm

I love all of our big green trees, and green lawns in the winter time...heres a funny story....when my younger boy, went away to college, he went to Cornell, in New York State....and of course the weather there is completely different from here...there, is cold and snowy and frigid in the winter, and hot and humid in the summer...
Anyway, when my son was there for his first year, he was fascinated by the landscape during the winter...dont forget, he grew up in Washington state, where in the winter everything, including the lawns is so green, the evergreen trees which are all over remained green in the winter, almost no snow, and lots of rain...but the landscape in New York was snowy, icy, barren trees, no grass in the lawns...It just looked so different to him, and he kept mentioning this....
Finally one of his friends said, Geez, Andy, Washington D.C. cant be that different from New York in the winter...My son said, uh, pardon me, when I said I was from Washington, I meant Washington State, not Washington D.C..
Of course, we here in Washington State, sometimes refer to ourselves as the other Washington...When you simply say you from Washington, to someone back east, they automatically assume you are from Washington D.C....but out here, when someone says they are form Washington, we just assume its Washington state...
Its all a matter of perspective....so now my son, since he travels so much, always makes sure that he says he is from Washington "State"
To: andysandmikesmom
Oh I am always careful to specify Washington State. I wouldn't ever want anyone to think I come from the other place ;~D

hi andysmom
I knew the Finger Lakes region where Cornell is has cold winters
I always assumed their summers would be charming tho cause it is upstate and on a lake
it's interesting Andy found them too hot and humid
he must be used to cool summers

Hi, lass!!Sorry I haven't been around, but I'm still navigating the changes around here, and my struggle for the legal tender has been particularly difficult as of late.
Thanx for the ping.
