What is wrong with the (majority) of voters in Massachusetts?

I was optimistic because I've seen far more Minogue signs than Healey signs in my county, but I also tried tempering my expectations given we are stronghold for the most degenerate politicians....

but seriously, WTF?? What has caused such apathy, ignorance, and delusion to befall the electorate in the last few decades?

Many people in this state live fairly prosperously compared to those from other states...I just don't get the political mindset of these folks...

RANT OVER

#1 is problematic but I think you're overstating the effects of that - the youth voter turnout is low.

I have to think the racial demographics are to blame for the voting habits.

I’m on your side buttercup. When I see the prices skyrocket I knew this election would not be good for us. The majority are fickle unpolitical types who vote anywhere they think they’ll got immediate economic gratification

You tell the truth. Most people are idiots.

At the beginning of this republic only people owning property could vote. Now welfare recipients can vote.

::...apathy, ignorance, and delusion...::

~~
I suspect it was none of these; voter fraud and cheating won the day for the Dumocrats throughout the country. And the propaganda media were in on the heist, which is why we were inundated for months with opinion pieces describing voter dissatisfaction with Trump.

But it’s not over.

My opinion is that the Good Guys knew they would cheat and will now be able to gather evidence to convict some players of fraud and of treason.

I know you’re on my side. I’m amazed at the stupidity I see around me so often. Everyone thinks there’s a magic bullet. But if you print money, like Biden did, you just brought yourself years of inflation. Trump has done a darn good job of undoing as much damage as he could that Biden inflicted on us. He can’t undo everything all at once. I’m grateful for the reprieve, and I have my big girl pants on. Gonna get tough again. I’m prepared. I’ll have to thank Jimmy Carter for the hard lessons my family learned years ago. Ain’t nothing easy. Ain’t nothing free.

That was a real eye opener for me, too. I had to face the reality that most of the people in my family are sheep when it came to Covid. They really hated that I was (and still am) very much an anti-masker. Most of them lapped that right up. They had so many shots and boosters, too. They believe so much of what the trad media reports, as if it’s the truth, without ever considering any other side. I don’t talk about politics with them at all.

yes, this because almost half of Gen Z is non-white...

from Google:

"Generation Z (born 1997–2012) is the most racially and ethnically diverse generation in U.S. history, with roughly 57% non‑Hispanic white, 19% Hispanic, 15% Black, 6% Asian, and 3% other"

The USA became a third world country last night.

Those of us who don’t want to live in a third world country have our work cut out for us.

If we want to save our FRee Republic!

Biden added $11 TRILLION to the deficit.

This is what we re-elected for governor :

The recent past Republican governors of Mass have been :

Charlie Baker (2015–2023)
Mitt Romney (2003–2007)
Jane Swift (acting governor, 2001–2003)
Paul Cellucci (1997–2001)
Bill Weld (1991–1997)

Ed King switched to the Republican party AFTER serving as governor.

When youre raised to believe you and your party contain all the wisdom, virtue and morality there is and your opponents are diseased cretins, meaningful introspection is impossible.
