Kansas Polling Place RUNS OUT OF BALLOTS Just Hours After Opening — Voters TURNED AWAY as County Officials Scramble to Fix Massive Blunder

Election Day is already off to a disastrous start in Kansas, where a polling location in Leavenworth County ran out of ballots Tuesday morning, leaving frustrated voters waiting more than an hour and reportedly forcing some to leave without casting their votes.

The stunning election administration failure unfolded at the Linwood Community Building in downtown Linwood, where voters arrived Tuesday morning expecting to participate in the crucial 2026 midterm elections.

Instead, they discovered that county election officials had failed to provide enough ballots for their precinct.

According to KCTV5's Election Day report, the polling location was short of ballots for Kansas House District 38, creating long lines and delays as election workers scrambled to print and deliver additional ballots.

The polling site serves voters in two different Kansas House districts, District 38 and District 42. The shortage specifically affected voters requiring the District 38 ballot.

And the situation was serious enough that some voters were reportedly turned away.

KMBC 9 News reported that a caller said voters were turned away at the building's doors because election workers did not have enough ballots.

According to KSHB 41 News, the Leavenworth County Election Office acknowledged that it had not ordered enough ballots.

County officials initially printed another 200 ballots for delivery to Linwood, approximately 45 minutes away, while working to prepare roughly 800 additional ballots.

Voters reportedly waited more than an hour as officials attempted to correct the problem.

They should have brought in some celebrities & bands & fed the voters to make them stay in line, like Dems did in Madison in 2024. Some ppl might think that’s akin to kidnapping, but for Democrats it’s just another Tuesday in November.

It’s as “accidental” as Biden was coherent.

This never happens when Democrats vote, only on election day (which, for reasons unknown to me) Republicans favor.

I always vote the first couple of days of early voting.

We take our completed mail-in ballots to the polling place on Election Day to make sure they make it to the tabulation center.

Incompetence.

These workers have one job.

Most do it well.

Some are just incompetent.

And a few cheat.

Illustrative of why conservatives should reconsider not voting early in person.

Do you honestly believe that this is mere incompetence?

It looks a lot more like willful malice.

It isn’t like they didn’t know the election was coming.

Incompetent.

Reminds me of clueless men that buy flowers and candy ON Valentines Day in a grocery store.

1) I absolutely disapprove of “election season”: early voting, mail-in voting, etc.

2) I always vote on the first Saturday of early voting ... just to be sure.

I voted early just so I wouldn’t run into a problem. You would think people would learn by now.

Here in my small Broward precinct, there was no wait. The scanner dude told me that the scanners were brand new and this was their first use. I always vote on Election day at 14:00. The workers were bored and I tried helping put a smile on their face. It was a very pleasant experience. I think there were like 5 scanners, each had 140ish on them. Everyone was so nice. 3-page ballot. Including raising homestead to 150k. You should see the anti-amendment-3 commercials, oh you’ll lose your firemen, teachers and cops. The naacp is against amendment 3. That says enough. But DeSantis knew this would happen and designed it around that. Very pleasant experience. And the weather’s getting cooler. If it will ever stop raining that would be nice.

I’m in a “Republican leaning” town of 6k in Alaska. Our precinct has had it’s crap together for many years. We are in and out in 5 minutes. They are very efficient, they check ALL ID’s against their voter role, then give us the ballot. Oddly enough, we just had a power outage in our area. It’s been off for about 30 minutes so far. It usually goes out in high winds, but it’s not so windy now. Hmmm????

Agree. My first time voting early was in 2024 and did so again last week. It seems to be the DNC strategy, many of which seem to have their hands on the election mechanism in states, to get their voters in early, then when the GOP shows up traditionally on official election day suddenly everything imaginable goes wrong.

Democrats: “Too bad for you, Mr and Mrs GOP voter..🤭”

I am guessing a republican area. Many voters will not return for a 2nd try.
