WASHINGTON — Rep. Ilhan Omar’s staff helped get her birthdate changed in public records once the Minnesota Democrat was elected to Congress in 2018, a switch that has since spurred frenzied accusations that she misrepresented her age to secure US citizenship.
The alteration could offer a big clue as to what federal immigration agents were searching for when they raided her DC home Monday: If the congresswoman is actually one year older than she’s claimed to be, that would mean she couldn’t have legally become a US citizen in 2000, critics contend.
Omar’s birthdate had been listed in the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library as Oct. 4, 1981, as well as on reference sites such as Wikipedia and in media outlets like the BBC, for the entire time she served in the state House and for several months into her congressional term.
But the congresswoman’s staff moved to shift the date forward by one year in May 2019 after a video from a political opponent went viral that claimed Omar was fibbing about her age, according to emails reviewed by The Post.
“On May 17, 2019, Library staff were informed by Rep. Omar’s congressional staff that her birth year was incorrect and requested that we change it to 1982,” wrote the director of the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library in an email just days after the change was made.
“Rep. Omar’s congressional staff are working with Wikipedia and with the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress and other sources to correct her birth year on those sites. As of today, the birth year has not been corrected on the two sites I mentioned,” the director added in the May 24, 2019 email.

The DOJ and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) issued grand jury subpoenas and executed a search warrant at the Washington, DC, home of Rep Ilhan Omar’s sister...Sahra Noor...as part of an active criminal investigation into potential fraud and false statements in her family’s immigration history.
Federal investigators are probing whether Omar’s late father, Nur Omar Mohamed, or other family members lied or omitted information on immigration or naturalization paperwork.
The investigation follows years of public accusations—pushed by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and administration officials—regarding Omar’s entry into the United States in 1995 and past claims concerning her marital and family history (including historical allegations regarding a past marriage).
DHS and DOJ agents executed a search warrant at Sahra Noor’s Washington, D.C., residence, seizing boxes of documents. Grand jury subpoenas were also issued to Noor and other members of Omar’s family circle to gather evidence.
The actions come just weeks before a federal election, drawing sharp criticism from Representative Omar, who condemned the search as a “weaponization of federal law enforcement” to target a political opponent. Omar has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding her immigration records.

That is not her family. The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.
Ilhan’s genetic family split up at this time. The above three received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom.
Ilhan Abdullahi Omar’s name, before applying for asylum, was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
Her father’s name before applying for asylum was Nur Said Elmi Mohamed. Her sister Sahra Noor’s name before applying for asylum was Sahra Nur Said Elmi. Her three siblings who were granted asylum by the United Kingdom are Leila Nur Said Elmi, Mohamed Nur Said Elmi, and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.
Ilhan and Ahmed married in 2009, presumably to benefit in some way from a fraudulent marriage. They did not divorce until 2017.
Among her myriad of sins and pure evil, this is a minor one.
Not that it should be ignored by authorities. Every little bit towards de-seating and deporting her should be used.

I give up, Norm. When is the appropriate time to prosecute fraud on a person who faces election every two years? It’s a never ending election cycle.
This is delicious timing, anyway. People may not vote for her because of this. If she is elected, she will be deported causing the seat to go vacant. It’s a very good “two bites at the apple” situation.

We were living over there in the early 1980's.
We saw a video of Hussein with his family. Hussein was watching his men torturing prisoners. They were ALL laughing at the excruciating pain those prisoners were enduring.
At the end his grandsons were outside fighting to stay alive. Didn't do any good as all his family were killed. HE was found in a hide-y-hole shouting at the Americans: "Don't kill me! I'm the president of Iraq!"
FINALLY, he was hanged. Good riddance. Let our good Lord take care of him.
