The Laughing Cow® Finally Reveals Why She Stopped Laughing: It's Those Trivial Everyday Disagreements Driving a Wedge Between Us

The Laughing Cow® recently did something she hasn't done in more than a century: she stopped laughing. Across the country, The Laughing Cow has been spotted not laughing on select packages of the popular cheese wedges, across the brand's social channels and website, and even in diners and parks. The unexpected change left fans everywhere wondering what could have possibly caused her to stop laughing. Now we know.

The answer became clear last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Brooklyn, when Jimmy and Guillermo introduced The Not Laughing Cow to America. Through their signature banter and a debate about whether you can wear socks with sandals, Jimmy and Guillermo put a national spotlight on why she stopped laughing: it's all those trivial, everyday disagreements dividing us. And while the comedians couldn't get her to laugh, they officially passed the baton on to the country, kicking off a nationwide challenge to make The Laughing Cow laugh again.

In addition to the revelation on late night TV, The Laughing Cow shared a more in-depth explanation highlighting that somewhere along the way, we started taking the little things a little too seriously.

With a lighthearted nod to its iconic cheese wedges, The Laughing Cow is reminding consumers that a wedge should be something we share, not an issue that comes between us. Now, the brand is asking fans to laugh off those little disagreements, come together and help get The Laughing Cow laughing again.

Chat etiquette?

That’s not trivial. It’s important. In fact v the way we communicate with each other is how civilization holds.

People aren’t taught this stuff anymore, and instead we’re being told to “just deal with it” by a cheese judging us?

Cheese?!

Wtf?

And the idea that a partnership with a comedian is the reason the “cow stopped laughing after 100 years” is not lost on me.

I’m so glad I live in an area with great cheese and don’t have to pretend these flavorless wedges of overprocessed trash are cheese.

The Laughing Cow has announced that they are now a bull and in transition, and that’s not funny.

There are two local "Coney" chains, Skyline and Goldstar. (Conies in this part of the country are hot dogs, covered with Cincinnati-style chili, covered with cheese.) Some idiot teenage marketing expert at Goldstar took a common reliable food I have loved all my life and re-titled them "Glizzies". Same product, new trendy name for a few weeks.

Goldstar is half a mile from my house, and for the rest of my life, I will be driving to the Skyline two miles from my house, because I now refuse to give a single damn dime to a company so in love with how damn CLEVER it is to do this kind of nonsense. Damn kids.
