The face of warfare is changing. The American armed forces should be prepared and ahead of the game of changing tactics and strategy. Drones have radically changed warfare, as seen in the Ukraine war. Tanks may be the 2026 version of battleships or horse cavalry. If Elon Musk can help, more power to him.

Elon is a very very busy man, but hey anything for America. Old, wise saying:
"To get something done, give it to a man who is busy doing things."

"Won’t he have to keep his companies out of procurement afterwards?"
I don't see why. Who would stop him if he did?

The reason Musk is on the committee is because he is going to have millions of solar panels/computer chips in space.
He already has 1000’s of sattelites in space
Guess what? As competition heats up with adversaries all that equipment becomes targets.
Musk has an interest in protecting what now is free space but in the future will be very hotly contested.

No mystery. Gingrich seems old. The State of Georgia is passing to the ‘Rats.
I believe that he provides some stability, but am amazed at the contributions of Musk to America. What a gift!

I rather his talent be used to continue to do what he is already doing: helping Civilization expand off planet. Ever since the invention of nuclear weapons Civilization has only been one crazy muzzy dictator away from extinction.
From the stand point of protecting Civilization itself from self destruction getting people and factories off of Earth is a good way to guarantee Civilization itself continues . It also has a great side effect: the Solar is huge. When governments mandate that you must live side by side with groups of people you don't want near you , you have plenty of room to move away and create your own Galt's Gulch.

Considering we haven’t won a war in 81 years I’d say it’s worth a shot. Or maybe people prefer we bring Milley back?

Trump is a great salesman who has a lot of beneficial ideas (Iran not withstanding) but he needed to get the whips of both bodies of Congress the last (Almost) two years to engage in total war against the pragmatic globalist BS running rampant. Johnson and Thune/McConnell Chinese agents and underlings are basically "moderate" female muscular internal reproduction organs who only did their and China's own bidding that ran contrary to fundamental reasoning of maintain a salient and prosperous civilization in these United States.
Despite Trump's sales pitch, he can't guarantee both Congress and the 48th Adimin from continuing his fleeting Administrative Law decrees.

“Has Musk ever been subject to the SSBI and other reviews for this level of national security information?”
I can well imagine that Musk has been helping our country for several years at least, off the record. Now, he’s official again.
