A North Carolina woman will spend just weeks behind bars for a hit-and-run that killed a star college athlete out for a run.
Q'laundra Hood, 28, was handed just 30 days in jail for a crash that killed 25-year-old Lance Sotelo, with a judge also ordering three years of supervised probation and $765 in restitution, according to Queens City News.

I knew it was Charlotte before I even looked at the article. The city is a pestilence pit.
A couple of years ago an unlicenced no english mexican ran a stop sign and T boned me. I had my wife and grandson with me, after checking them out I went to check on the other car, it was GONE. Someone followed the debris trail and found them about a mile away, the car wouldnt go any further.
The mexican got a ticket, didnt even get locked up. Miraculously, there was insurance on his car.

The minimum jail term for any crime is multiplied by the number of times you’ve been convicted.

I’ve long suspected that black mothers (I’d say ‘parents’ but thank LBJ) give their children ridiculous names to insure they’ll stay offended and outraged all their lives because no one can spell or pronounce them.
The judiciary is a huge problem. Light sentences to criminal illegals as well.
HOW DID THEY CALCULATE THE $765???
By "Trump ballot" you mean the 2034 election? No matter whether it's a national or a local election, I don't think judges are ever "contested", as in both parties putting up a candidate for the same slot. I believe judges are supposed to be non-partisan, so you only get to vote "yes" to the ones you want, or no vote for any others running whom you don't want. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about that.
I always check out the judges on the web. Even though they don't list a party on their web pages, you can usually tell which are Democrats by some of the items in their biographies or news stores. You can also check out their pictures for clues such as body language or attitude.

I had 10 separate judges listed as Democrat. No Republicans ran against them. Names like Lequisha and Tanisha. Kinda scary.
I guess the rules vary state by state, then. Here in Maryland, we have to dig around to find out they’re mostly Democrats.
