“If you like snacking on cheddar or grating Parm over your pasta because they’re delicious, it might surprise you to learn that they also can help you reach your protein goals.”

Of course anyone with A BRAIN eats meat, particularly red meat, particularly beef, and thus has no problem reaching protein ‘goals’.

I know there is debate on this, but cottage cheese is frequently not considered cheese, in that it is not pressed or aged. It is also often not made with bacteria, but with acids.

After much debate and legal wrangling , the FDA decided to let it be called cheese as calling it “processed milk curds” wasn’t a great sounding product.

Other countries aren’t so generous.

Avoid all cheese. Might as well check straight into the hospital.

I like cottage cheese. My daughter grew up hating it. Her husband hated it too. Then they had to buy some for a recipe and tried it. Hey Mikey, she likes it. So does he.

I’m also a huge fan of long term aged cheddar. I prefer at least four years. It’s sharp and has a bite that will draw blood.

I’ve had as much as eighteen year old cheddar.

Other than number one, I have all of these cheeses, and many more, in my fridge at this very moment.

When I see it, I’ll prefer whole-milk Mozzarella, btw.

Thanks - would be tough to eat enough Romano, Ricotta or Parmesan to get the protein advantage - but I like cheese as a evening snack - add a side of grapes or apple slices and I’m good to go.

In my view, trying to optimize the protein in cheese intake is a foolish endeavor.

If you are going to eat cheese, eat what you like and perhaps even eat some more. Better, don’t try to foolishly protien optimize by eating just one. Eat two or event a little each of three.

The article is basic journo garbage
