Believe what you want. I’ve heard them here in central (M)assachusetts. Right behind my 6.4 acre wooded property. When I heard it I was burning a fire in the back of the propery in my firepit. After it I spent weeks online trying to figure out what the hell it was because it was at night and I had never heard anything like it. I could never find a match. It was a long whoop sound that increased in volume over time. It wasn’t until months later watching a Bigfoot video of calls that I heard that exact call.
I told my friend Andy about it. He has 40 acres in the next town to the North of us. We were camping out six months later on his property when I heard it again. I told him that this was the call I heard. His eyes got real big. I assured him we were safe and we were but that fire burned a little longer than usual that night.

It’s Bill Munns. I gave the name wrong. Look him up. And unlike Rick Baker, he used original footage, not a fifth- or sixth-generation copy. Munns studied the film close up, frame by frame.
Jeff Meldrum at Idaho State is an anthropologist who specializes in bipedal locomotion. He knows the anatomy of feet and how human and ape modes of walking differ. He can, and has, spotted fraudulent tracks.
Both of these are credentialed people.
The ratio between the length of the upper and lower arm, and upper and lower leg bones in humans is well known. It is a human constant. It doesn’t change. Whatever is in the PGF isn’t human; the proportions are wrong, and the step is wrong. You could not make a suit with those knee and elbow points that a human could use.
They need to ask Bob Gymlin how he made the suit and what vendors, materials, and processes were used; how long did it take to make? The suit in the “New film” is actually the suit that was supposedly made two years after the Patty film.
I can’t explain the date discrepancy.
But which of these is more likely:
Someone used a copy of a recreation film that somehow had the production date altered, perhaps maliciously, and asked a confused old man to explain it. He couldn’t.
Or
Two cowboys with high school educations secretly created a suit that well-known Hollywood costume makers couldn’t replicate, using techniques and materials that had not been invented, hired a 7-foot actor to wear the suit and shut up forever, and made fake footprints that could fool an expert in ape footprints?

I worked with a guy who saw Big Foot when he was 8 yrs old in NC. He and his brother were playing outside at his grandmother’s house. It was a very rural place with few people. He and his brother smelled something so strong and when they saw where the odor was coming from, it was an 8 ft-ish hairy creature walking away from them upright. He said people called it a skunk ape.

I think that’s called cognitive dissonance. It’s when people have preset beliefs, and when ever they encounter something that goes against those beliefs they make fun of it, ignore it, call it a lie or made up, etc.
Who won?
Bigfoot or Floyd Patterson?
Must be a very small population, if all the cameras on trails never spot a specimen.
So with such a small population, there should be plenty of inbreeding, leading to plenty of problems and soon extinction.
Anyway, looks to me like a man with a regular human head got into a large gorilla suit — and flat-soled shoes.
