The US Food and Drug Administration announced today that it has approved a groundbreaking new treatment option for pancreatic cancer.
Manufactured by Revolution Medicines, daraxonrasib made headlines earlier this year when former US Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., shared details about his experience with the drug — which left his skin bloody and “bubbling” but is also giving him more time with his family amid his battled with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

After I was homeless after losing everything in the Almeda Fire, and couldn’t get enzymes or medication, I really deteriorated.
It was during Oregon COVID shutdown. You couldn’t get a motel or a restaurant.
I lost all my regular doctors and vwas always having to relocate.
Now..86 lbs. Copd, hypermobile joints, TBI, ptsd off the wall. And cancer. I’m done fighting them.

“Doubling life expectancy” means zilch. Its purpose is to create fake excitement and increase the stock price or valuation of whatever company responsible for it.
Steve Jobs had a very treatable form of pancreatic cancer. His was a tumor in the tail of the pancreas (where insulin is produced) not the head (which is the more fatal part—associated with digestion.) If he had treated it when it was discovered, using the current care protocols, his 5 year survival rate would have been approaching 80%.
But he thought he was smarter than the entire medical/research community. He went with “natural” treatments. Naturally….he died.

Where do you live? My sister was in Mississippi and her story was similar. By the time she got to the oncologist, it was too late.
Compare that to my wife in MA. She “felt bad” in June. We spent the entire month of July doing CTs scans, MRIs, Ultrasounds, Endo-ultrasounds, and finally we had major life saving surgery in August.
A lot of things suck in MA. Medical care is not one of them.
The cure for Pancreatic Cancer is well known: Whipple Surgery and then some aggressive chemo. If you can the entire tumor (which is rare) your survival rate is more than 80%. It’s catching it early that is the trick.
If they could come up with a diagnostic that was accurate and cheap, most cancers could be stopped in their tracks.

It would mean a lot if it were your life.
Double life expectancy can mean a lot—even with PC.
If you have been reading this stuff, they were talking about getting the “vaccine” into human trials. Yes…it will take a while to get through that, but if you can extend a year to two years there may be some home. A person can be at stage 4 for a while—it depends on the person, their reaction to meds/chemo, and the location of the additional tumors.
I understand thinking that it’s hopeless. But I’ve learned that you don’t give up hope until the Oncology nurse tells you to. They tend to know more about how you are doing than anyone else in the process.
Nurses treat the patient, doctors treat the lab results.

Your wife is a physician and decided to take the antihelmintic drugs over conventional treatments for lymphoma that are 85% plus effective and maybe even curative as in the case of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma? There’s treatments other than chemo for lymphoma like cart cells, radiation and the like. Seems crazy not to try them first instead of just relying on the Ivermectin/mebendazole for which there has been no randomized controlled trials done.
Does FreeRepublic have breaking news anymore? Seems like what used to be breaking stories would be there. Now it’s basically once a week. I go to X for news these days.

I didn't give the full history of her ordeal. She did try conventional treatment at first, mainly radiation. But the cancer did eventually return, more aggressive. Not a Hodgkins type lymphoma. That is when we began to research alternative treatment options, including a strict keto diet. It did work.
