President Donald Trump on Wednesday boasted the U.S. has “total control” of the Strait of Hormuz, despite what the “FAKE NEWS” may report to the contrary, before praising Allah for the nation’s stranglehold on the critical shipping passage.
“I THINK WE WILL KEEP IT!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Our Naval Blockade is being called, by everyone, ‘A WALL OF STEEL,’ and there is nothing Iran can do about it.”
The president repeated claims that Iran’s military had been decimated:
"They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, their remaining soldiers are unpaid, the IRGC is decimated and fleeing, and their 'Leadership' is uncertain, at best! They have No Money – Their country is 'shot.' All they have is FAKE NEWS and 300% INFLATION, and getting worse! Iran is all talk and no action, the Bully of the Middle East No Longer. Praise be to Allah!" President DONALD J. TRUMP
Trump’s remarks come a day after Iran’s theocratic leaders claimed the Strait of Hormuz was partially closed — news which sent the price of oil north of $80 per barrel. Iran is demanding the U.S. unfreeze Iranian funds in order to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to Reuters.
The two sides continue to discuss a deal to bring the war to an end, with Trump on Monday saying he loved an “interesting idea” Iran had floated about getting reparations for damages done during the conflict. Trump said he loved it so much he was going to use it himself and have Iran pay for the families of Americans and Iranian protesters it has killed over the last half-century.
He also didn’t seem too concerned about Iran threatening his life, even when it forced him to ditch Air Force One due to a credible assassination threat.
“I don’t worry about anything, to be honest,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday night. “Whatever it is — you know my attitude? Whatever.”

Except the Iranians and other muslims will take it as acknowledging Islam’s supremacy. Only Westerners would think of it as something else. Which is why Islam and muslims are flooding Western countries - the general lack of understanding of Islam in the West make this possible.

Money talks. So ship insurance rates will answer the question. I’m no expert on that topic, and I can’t find any recent data.
But…
If the insurance rates are at essentially pre-war levels, then yes. The US has total control of the Straight.
Otherwise, no.
