President Donald Trump raged to Fox News’s Trey Yingst about Tuesday night’s surprise attack by Iran on U.S. troops in Jordan, telling him “we are going to beat the ------- ---- out of them.”
Yingst, Fox’s chief foreign correspondent, reported on Trump’s comments while joining Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning and noted that Trump added, “We’ll be hitting them hard.”
“Yeah, guys, good morning. President Trump reacting to that Iranian attack on U.S. forces overnight in Jordan. President Trump tells Fox News about Iran: ‘We are going to beat the ------- ---- out of them.’ He went on to say, ‘We’ll be hitting them hard. They’re going to get a beating,’” Yingst began his report, adding:
So clearly, the United States is going to respond to what the president described as a surprise attack. He says U.S. forces had just minutes to shoot down these incoming Iranian ballistic missiles. The president says he has reviewed video of the shoot-down, and it was U.S. forces conducting this operation to defend that area. He said it was real-time — they were calling out coordinates and ensuring that none of this incoming Iranian fire got through.
I also asked the president about those U.S. and Saudi airstrikes against Iran-backed Iraqi Shia militias overnight. He says those strikes were coordinated with the Iraqi government. He called these Iran-backed militias “a cancer on the world” and says he is considering additional warnings against Iranian proxies and their link to the Iranian regime.
The president also talked about his meeting yesterday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office. He says it was a great meeting — he understands now. It appears that the relationship between President Trump and the Israeli prime minister is strengthening. And again, the president called that meeting in the Oval great.
In terms of possible talks with the Iranian regime, the president says, “We’re going to let them keep talking.” Remember, the Iranians came to President Trump after 13 straight days of U.S. bombing against Iran, asking to meet about the Strait of Hormuz and their broader nuclear ambitions, and those talks are taking place as we speak, behind the scenes — and then this surprise attack launched against U.S. forces overnight. And again, President Trump telling Fox News, “We are going to beat the effing s*** out of them,” and that U.S. strikes will take place against Iran in response to the surprise attack overnight against U.S. forces in Jordan.
“What’s intriguing, too, is we understand the previous attacks were with Saudi Arabia. This whole thing started with Epic Fury, with Israel. Do you sense that there might be a comprehensive plan in place, or being worked on, that would involve Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE — who at various times have taken unilateral action on their own — along with the IDF?” followed up host Brian Kilmeade.
“It’s absolutely possible, because the Iranian plan here backfired. By attacking all of these Gulf countries, they built an informal coalition that is now targeting Iranian proxies in the region, and even Iranian territory,” Yingst replied, adding:
And we saw that last night on display: Saudi Arabia publicly admitting that they are participating in strikes against Iranian proxies in Iraq alongside U.S. forces. And other countries in the Gulf have participated in a limited capacity against the Iranians, targeting some of these coastal areas around the city of Bandar Abbas, next to the Persian Gulf, where many of those U.S. strikes took place.
And remember, when we spoke with President Trump earlier this year during Operation Epic Fury, he said he was most surprised by the fact that the Iranians were targeting these countries that were uninvolved — that were not striking Iran at the time. And so, again, what Iran has done here by targeting these Gulf countries is actually building this informal coalition that is now being used to pressure the Iranian regime.
The question remains if these talks will lead to some sort of agreement. But again, President Trump tells Fox News there will be a U.S. response to this surprise attack overnight against U.S. forces in Jordan.

Sometimes I hate being right.
I remember Sen. Aiken saying about the late stages of Vietnam: “We should declare victory and get out” which is actually what Nixon tried to do but the Dem majority cut off funding to appease their communist base. For Iran, Declare Victory and Get Out Now, no one will remember the dismal place by the November Midterms.
I agree. However, this would take an act of war AND the will/agreement of the American people. Our congress and nation is so divided, and when you throw in RINOs, you end up with representatives and a people who frankly are unwilling to do what needs to be done to destroy nations/governments that are ruled by muslim fanatics.
The war that needs to be won is the one that's raging in our nation.
Trump has exceeded Reagan's accomplishments multiple times over. Trump is going down in history as our Greatest US President. (Except for George Washington.)
That is true. BOTH are threats. The left is a he greater one, and must be destroyed.

I would like to see an example of where you were.
Bridges, power plants and petroleum facilities would reduce their ability to make war to basically running around in their sandals with their AK’s. Very few weapons could be made with no transportation. Life would be pretty uncomfortable for them. I don’t know how committed they really are. The mullah’s don’t mind their people suffering and dying, but when it comes to THEM suffering, their attitude is a bit different...
They are lesser threats. They can be cowed by M.A.D. into not initiating a first strike.
Islamic Religious Fanatics will not be cowed. They welcome death if it brings back the Mahdi.
Doesn't anyone remember it was Iran that started all the suicide bombing crap?
The Zealots will absolutely attack us first, despite our numbers. Allah commands it.
If Mohamhead existed his writing started about 4 to 600 A.D. but it’s old News as A Risen Christ Seals All of his Followers to
Eternal Damnation.
Our current situation is a speed bump.
Does one ever PAUSE to talk to a rabid dog tearing apart one’s leg?
What the hell did he expect to happen?????

“JUST DO IT, DONALD! Get this mess over with.”
I think the Donald wants Iran’s neighbors to eventually do the work.
I’ll admit I’m surprised he’s let it go on this long.
However, when comparing this war to past ones like Vietnam or Iraq/Afghanistan, I am reminded that there are several very bad elements not present in the current conflict:
1) Rules of Engagement. In Vietnam, our military was literally prohibited from doing what was necessary to achieve victory. The enemy was concentrated in Laos and elsewhere, and we were not allowed to go there. Iran is the exact opposite. Iran is where the enemy is and has been for 47 years - and with Trump, we are finally going there.
2) Boots on the ground. That has always been the mistake in past wars. Past wars began with air strikes, but we soon ran out of clean targets as the enemy embedded with civilians and we resorted to ground operations - with a focus on capturing territory. Trump is not making that mistake.
3) Dragging on forever. It’s too soon to declare this a “forever war”. I really doubt Trump will let that happen, but only time will tell.
I know the politics. Sometimes, you got to have people be responsible for decisions and votes. This is one where you have an open vote, and all the names that vote against taking Care of Iran be engraved in a giant wall. That way, when the next terrorist attack occurs and American civilians die, they can be remembered. Some, like Massie, might not care because their ‘public’ service is over. Yet, they have to live somewhere and people are going to remember and point to the names.
“Be careful what you wish for - you just may get it.”
I assure you, that I want the names engraved on a wall of all those in Congress that refuse to support taking care of this problem. I want posterity to know which PARTY and which individuals are directly responsible for allowing Iran to continue to kill and threaten people. The way to deal with them is a brutality that they never thought would come home, to give them the terrorism they so like to give others. Tell the Iranian Citizens to move, give them a way out, but then flatten and firebomb everything after. Whomever is left, after given a chance to escape, is a combatant or a ‘human shield’ collateral damage. The United States should play ‘world police’ or ‘world busy body’ or anything else but protecting Americans and American interests. Iran will kill civilian and non-civilian Americans, they have done it before many many many times. Once they have the bomb they will use it, because if they don’t people won’t take them seriously. They have used every weapon on people in the region and beyond, expect nuclear exchange/terrorist with nukes, and environmental catastrophe if we don’t act this time.
> Islamic Religious Fanatics will not be cowed. <
That’s absolutely right, a key point. The mullahs are more like Imperial Japanese Army officers during WW2 than anything else. They wanted to fight on even after two atomic bombs were deployed.
Then the question becomes, what to do about Iran? Atomic bombs are off the table, obviously. So is a massive ground invasion.
So what’s left? Endless bombing? Hope for a revolution within Iran?
This will carry all the way through the midterms, and the republicans will get deserted because of it. Because gas here in my part of CA just jumped up over $5.30 AGAIN. People are pissed and they will take it out on the republicans . Oh well, it is what it is………..
Yes. Also include hunter killer drones, sending arms to the resistance and using the Israelis to assassinate people, which is a job we can't do.
