Participants included Dr. Norris Bradbury, Director of Los Alamos and Dr. Edward Teller, the father of the hydrogen bomb - but no one seemed to ask, "What the hell are you talking about?"
The case for/proof of alien lifeforms will bring it’s own set of problems; of that I have no doubt. :)
I did some work in Dulce, New Mexico.
That place definitely has a history of strangeness.
Sounds like the first instances of space debris reentry to me.

There was no human-made “space debris” to reenter in 1947-48.
Admiral Byrd did lead a naval force down to Antartica shortly after WWII (Operation High Jump)

He was also somewhere else speaking at a conference in Europe at the same time. The Antarctic bit is just internet fluff.
...that we (the public) know of.
Yeah, they even made a documentary about it called “Iron Sky”
It's very interesting to me that the Germans were obsessed with exploring space as far back as the 1920s.
Oberth wasn't an outlier in Germany. The public was fascinated with this idea as well, but then the war happened. At that time, the scientists still worked to this goal, but the public had other things to worry about.
Thanks

Right! Other than that no one on Earth, even the Germans had technology that could reach LEO until the late 50s. So the whole fruhaha about Germans having LEO capability, even assuming the report is real, is just nuts. Had the Germans had such tech then, we’d all be part of the 3rd Reich now.
What are the chances that the so-called report was AI generated just to cause this sort of commotion?
People will believe anything on the internet because it has to be true, else it would not be on the internet, right?
P-47’s were breaking the sound barrier in WW2 during dives.
A propeller driven plane? That’s pretty much impossible, isn t it?
Not in a dive. It usually didn’t end well.
