Federal Medicaid czar Dr. Mehmet Oz said New York’s overblown $110 billion spending on medical bills is sickening — as he claimed Chinese crime syndicates are ripping off the Empire State.
The TV doctor-turned-Trump administration official, blasted New York’s Medicaid program as rife with fraud in an interview Sunday as he outlined an alleged scheme that included millions of dollars in fraudulent medical bills.
“Social safety net programs are being defrauded. They’re being hurt oftentimes by foreign governments or foreign-run criminal syndicate organizations,” Oz, administrator of the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, said Sunday on 77 WABC ‘s the “Cats Roundtable” program.
Oz recently toured Flushing, Queens where a cluster of 64 social adult care centers operate — mostly serving ethnic Chinese and Korean senior citizens. Officials claim the center and pharmacies have generated massive amounts of questionable bills to Medicaid, a public insurance program intended to help the needy.
The social centers arguably shouldn’t be propped up by taxpayers, Oz said. The federal government covers more than half of Medicaid’s costs, with the state and local governments covering the rest.
“Normally, the government doesn’t pay for it. In New York, they’ve created a mechanism to pay for these programs,” Oz told host John Catsimatidis.
“These are run, we believe, under the auspices of the Chinese organized criminal groups that are also doing human trafficking in the East Coast.”
He didn’t specify which organizations may be behind the scheme or provide further details.

I’ll betcha Han Gruber MammiDammi is cleaning up. His teenbopper Queen is already spending American tax dollars in Spain.
I guarantee a percentage is ending up in the campaign coffers of the politicians willing to look the other way.
And that some kind of "gentleman's agreement" between the two parties to "overlook the small stuff" is being stretched wildly beyond the GOP's original intent.
The people working at the grow houses all owe some kind of DEBT to the Chinese gangs back in Asia. The MALES get sent/smuggled into the USA to work at these grow houses. They basically are slaves/indentured servants working off their debt. Although, it could be worse. Their DAUGHTERS get sent to various MASSAGE parlors where they have to work off the family debt by preforming others services.
There was an actual INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST who worked for the Maine Wire that exposed this story. He discovered it because he grew up in Dexter, ME. This is the town where the famous shoe company used to be. Except, when the Oracle of Omaha bought the company they moved the Dexter shoe company manufacturing to CHINA.
This guy went back to visit his mom still living in Dexter and a young Chinese couple from NYC had bought the house next to Moms. A few weeks later it had turned into a grow house. There are now supposedly over 500 grow houses in all the poor/depressed towns in rural Maine. Yet, all of these houses are pretty close to I95. Therefore, Boston, NYC, Philly, Baltimore, etc.
Dr. Oz is new to public service. He still doesn’t understand that it’s government money. Nobody cares! It’s his job to shovel more and money dollars out the door, not get in the way!
Anyway, free healthcare is right there in the Constitution. Isn’t it?
EVERYBODY is ripping off NY medicaid programs.

RFK JR: “We shut down 800 hospices. You know what a hospice is? Where you’re going to die. Typically, if you go to a hospice, you leave within 18 days because your dying is terminal.
We started looking at these hospices in Los Angeles, and the people never died. Two or three years later they were there, and we’re paying $6,000 a month.
We found a hotel room with 29 hospices in it. I mean a hotel, every room was a hospice, and none of them had any patients. They were just addresses.
The guys who own them, they were Estonians and Armenians and people from Eastern Europe who were getting the patient numbers. They were stealing them from doctors’ offices.
They were also going into poor neighborhoods in Los Angeles and they’d say to the people, ‘We’ll give you this $375 flat-screen TV. You give us your patient number and we’re going to enroll you in this hospice. You don’t ever have to go. We’re just going to enroll you,’ and then we’ll charge Medicaid $6,000 a month forever. And the guy never dies, of course, because he was never sick.
We didn’t get a single call from a congressman or from a business owner saying, ‘Oh, you shut down my hospice and all these patients are on the street.’ None of them, because they were all crooked and they knew they were crooked.”

Is New York unique? The schemes to get HHS to pay for most of Medicaid are in almost every state, as CATO and PARAGON Think Tanks have documented.
Why is it necessary to demogouge foreigners, immigrants, Chinese, H1b to get US taxpayers to focus on FRAUD WASTE ABUSE in HHS, or anywhere? Yes foreigners participate in FRAUD. But so do many citizens in the SWAMP. So do many government citizen employees, Vendors, Contractors.
Why does OZ not focus on Deloitte, the #1 fraud under his control?
