Feckless and clueless, Donald Trump is lost in Iran, unable to find a way out of the disastrous war he started. Once again, the US military is pummelling the country and, increasingly, its civilian infrastructure. As before, this unlawful bludgeoning strengthens the resistance of a hardline regime that cares little for its people’s suffering. How often have Trump and Pete Hegseth, the Pentagon’s wildling lord of bones, hailed a bogus victory? The president claimed this week to be “winning big”. No one believes him. Even as it counts the vast human and economic cost of his Persian folly, a watching world scoffs at US impotence.

This is the precise position of many FR posters, sadly.
Trump says it’s the other way around. There is some evidence Israel was not fully restocked (esp. with defensive means) after the “12 Day War”, and also worried about the proximity of the upcoming mid-term elections in the US.
In any event, the whole notion of this being down to Bibi “eager to tell Trump who and where to bomb” is silly. US and Israeli intel work closely on such matters: Bibi’s input is redundant at best.
Someday perhaps you will make a serious argument on something...
Still is, SFAIK. :-)
Any of several...
Just wait until the Pakis realize they are being ruled by the breeders of the barren hole.
Trivia alert (can be used for Jeopardy! answers...)
The Wheel of Fortune puzzle board uses a custom, proprietary font created specifically for the show.
➡️ "Zurich Ultra Black Condensed" (a variant of the “Zurich” family, similar to Univers) This is the font most often cited by designers who recreate the puzzle board look.
It has:
the tall, narrow proportions
the squared‑off geometry
the heavy weight
the distinctive “Wheel” feel
A quagmire would be better than Iran having A-bombs.
The world’s been in an economic dumpster since the global warming scheme to create a global tax got a grip on western economies. Been crippling economies ever since.
If The Guardian is against it, then it is a good thing, a very good thing.
They were supportive of Saddam Hussein pal MP Gorgeous George Galloway and Greta, BLM, etc., after all.
Buster Dog is a misnomer, it should be Bluster Dog.
The difference is that this time:
A) Iran was close to having them (nukes) in considerable numbers. That’s much tougher to knock back with espionage and such, as Israel (perhaps with some help from us) has done repeatedly and effectively in the past..
B) Iran was, as Sec. Rubio pointed out, getting to the point of having so many pretty decent missiles that they could immunize themselves from being dealt with (by threatening destruction of other Gulf States’ energy infrastructure and production, and, even hit much of Europe). This is the most CRUCIAL point, and Rubio is missing a bet by not repeating it daily, as people like you seem to not pick up on things very well.
Sorry if that seems a bit rude, but I tire of posters who so readily fall for our enemies’ agitprop and techniques to weaken us internally, when the information to the contrary is so obvious.
OTOH, I claim no God-like knowledge. I learn new stuff every day, and strive to do so. Until yesterday, I had no idea that Saudi Arabia had one of the highest concentrations of gamers on the planet: ~65% of the Saudi population / over 23 million people! I suspect some of the other Western influenced Gulf States are rather similar. This is a tremendous potential “defense” resource, and Saudi and their allies need to take advantage of it. If they did, they’d need MUCH less from us.
My last thought here? Do more research and have a good day.
Z-Man has no need to conquer Russia and depose Putin. All he has to do is a sort of enhanced Afghanistan-Russia 2.0. That is looking more and more likely.
Where Trump was wrong about Russia-Ukraine is primarily in his assessment of Russia - Putin, and somewhat in underestimating the Ukies.
Trump may not be able to “crush” Iran, but, Iran can easily be collapsed. (Not with present tactics.) The question is whether Trump is ornery enough to do it, as the civilian population would have a rough 6 months or so - much longer if they do not depose the Mullahs and IRGC.
Welp, this article answers a recent question.
I have a dear friend of over 20yrs who is in the UK/Scotland. We visited them, they visited us. We’ve been in contact mostly via email, never once did we discuss politics. I recently received an email from her where she dedicated a whole paragraph to ranting against our President and asking if, or rather how, I could support such and evil pedo pervert of a President? She mentioned a whole bunch of, now debunked, Epstein files and so on. Also stating that the US fighting Iran was making the world unsafe and that the whole of the UK hates Trump.
Now I can see more of where this rant came from as I don’t necessarily take note of other country’s news propaganda. I will respond appropriately and respectfully and if I lose a long time friend over politics, that’ll be a first for me.
It’s the Guardian, Jim.
The Guardian...A crappy paper that makes the New York Times look Conservative...
The Guardian = National Inquirer
STFU!
Scum like you would have been a Loyalist during the Revolution.
We’re supposed to care about what a limey Guardian foreign affairs commenter thinks? To me, all “media” clowns are blithering idiots who can’t find real jobs.
